There is no way Vick is playing in the NFL this year, the Raiders don't even want him. What does it tell you when you can't even get senile old Al Davis to sign you. He will be playing in the UFL this year, then go from there. I was never a fan of Vick at the QB position, two years away from the game and getting butt fucked in prison isn't going to change that opinion.
Mr E has this scenario pegged on the money... I would say your own bias is standing in the way because Vick has never been a decent QB... he's a guy with fast feet who could make plays. That only works so long in this league and unless you actually develop as a passer (like Steve Young or McNabb) that dancing around business only lasts until your next big injury. Or in his case, being locked in a cell for a long while. I think he'll get a 2nd chance because there is always someone fool enough to give it a go, and he'll likely be dirt cheap to boot. He's going to have to change his style of play if he wants to succeed and I don't think he has it in him. We'll see though. First he has to convince Goodall to let him play again.
is he a pure passer, no and he never will be but i can confidently say that when he comes back he will be better than more than half the qbs in this league
More than half the qbs in the league are backups and scrubs so that's not saying a whole lot. He won't be better than 16 of the starting QBs next year though.
what's even worse is a 65% winning percentage doesn't put him in the top 3. It's around 10th. unlike 56% which put him around 20th.
I agree with this. I can see the Skins trying to supplant Campbell with the dog murderer. It would be sadly ironic if he ended up with the Browns though. That's probably one of the few positives about the Genius, that he won't take on a player like Vick.
