http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_y...g=packtheworstoffseasonmov&prov=tsn&type=lgns IDK, I think Ryan has created a pretty significant buzz in NY and I don't think Cowher was interested in coaching this year for anybody Edit: List is in no particular order, so being #1 is irrelevant
This was beaten to death in Jan/Feb. The Jets asked...Cowher said no.....end of story. Time to move on.
not knocking cowher. im sure it would of been nice to have him as head coach . but i totally love ryan and i cant think of anyone else to have has a head coach. he has made brought in an attitude that we havnt had in a long time. and if we dont hire ryan then we dont get scott or leonard and who knows if we trade for lito or move up to draft sanchez
The retarded thing is the other 9 made some sense, at least there's logic to follow. Bill Cowher isnt coaching ANYBODY in 2009. If he was coaching another team, then maybe you could make a case that the Jets fucked up
wow half of that stuff isnt even like players who cares, Im sure the imaginary #11 is like "The lions for not offering free tickets"
Well, then I guess the other 30 some odd teams in the NFL should also list their worst off-season move was not hiring Bill Cowher too. Who knew he was so important to any one franchise... The writer has the imagination of a day old turd.
didn't read after seeing the reason the jets are #1. how many times does the guy need to say he had no interest in coaching at all this season. not to mention we ended up with rex ryan. i would rather have ryan who is hungr for success instead of a guy who wouldn't have his heart totally in it.
This article is spot on. We should have had Bill Cowher coaching Anquan Boldin, Jay Cutler and Braylon Edwards. We'd be unstoppable. In all seriousness, (I will not read this article, so I don't know where the move falls) how does the Jay Cutler debacle NOT top this list?! And how can a lack of a move be considered a move? Should we hate ourselves for not trading for Peyton Manning? I will say this- if I could have either coach, Cowher or Ryan, I'll take Rex Fucking Ryan. I applaud Bill Cowher's success with the Steeler's and yes, he is an excellent coach, but Pittsburgh is quite possibly the easiest franchise in the NFL to coach successfully. Rex wanted the Jets and the Jets wanted Rex. We would have been just another gig for Cowher.
Mike Florio sucks dog penis. The Jets not hiring Cowher isn't a move, it is a 'non-move'. Just like this is a 'non-article'. However, I am pretty concerned about Tannenbaum, trades and drafts aside.
wow so much love. granted its probably a bad article. BUT do none of you remember the fact that our wonderful owner was not even around to talk to cowher? wasnt he willing to at least have a conversation and then said bah fuck that? i dont remember on the second one but i know the first is correct. i guess all this rex is god and snachez will save us bullshit you guys have in your heads has made you forget how much you all wanted him 6 months ago.
This is a great example of revisionist history and will probably be quoted later in the season by rex and Tanny haters. Ridiculous.
