According to this the Jets lose too much money if they cut Gholston. He will be here for a while.

I think the one poster explained that he was joking, but I see the fish are still biting.

I believe that his jersey is on sale at Jets Shop because he might be changing his jersey number. I heard a few months back that he wanted to change his number to 50 since Barton is no longer a Jet.

Faach, Naich, Abyzmal!!! Good to see everybody for sure.

AND it's nice to see I can still confound and confuse with laser-guided precision.

    Gholston can be productive

But to consider him an impact defensive star is probably unrealistic. Which is a shame because that's where he was drafted. That high and that expensive and you should be double digit sacks.

Instead he showed no where near the instincts to come close to that.

He can be productive in Ryan's system but not a superstar.

However, I hear that the undrafted FA Jamaal Westerman from Rutgers is turning heads. He's big (played DE in college) and is doing great. Ryan wants to play him as ILB and OLB. Basically what he did with Bart Scott (another undrafted FA he molded).

That guy has me intrigued. It would allow Gholston to concentrate on rushing the passer only. Maybe the only place he will excel.

What about Gholston as a DE?

He can put his hand on the ground (where he's comfortable like in college) and has enough strength and quickness in tight quarters to rush the passer.

Would allow us to maximize our pass rush if we rush Pace and B.Thomas (or Westerman) along with Gholston.

    Thoughts?

Bahah, his merchandise is on sale because he changed his number. The only Gholston stuff with #56 is on sale, which is pretty much everything.

    Good try tho.
