    thank god...Kornheiser was insufferable.

Gruden is a much better choice....he was great during the NFL Network draft coverage.

does anyone know how good Gruden is?? He's such a pure coach in the booth he's awesome to listen too. If he goes on a rant about a player it'll be hysterical to listen to.

Him and Jaws in the same booth just made MNF respectable again.

    ANYONE would be an improvement.

Even Dennis Miller! Though that's kinda like choosing between death by firing squad or hanging ...

He was great during the NFL Network's draft coverage.

My favorite was when he was asking a coach or player, I forget which, something and he started off by saying "This is Jon Gruden, I used to work in the NFL". He had a bunch of funny moments, but he knows his stuff, something Kornheiser can't say about either.

Few of you seem to think Gruden would be a good replacement... I hope you are all right. lol At least he is a guy with some solid football knowledge. That Korn-hole putz did nothing but bring that team down, in my opinion. I couldn't stand him... good riddance.

Great news! I used to listen to the Tony Kornheiser show everyday when he was on radio. I watch PTI. He is great on those. MNF: He was AWFUL. Great move and I am excited to see Chucky on it!

Well, this isn't bad news. Can't see Gruden being a bad addition. Kornheiser steps down due to his 'fear of flying'. What the frig, he's adopting John Madden's phobia? What's Kornheiser going to do now? Talk crap to himself in the mirror? Oh, wait, that's what he's been doing all along.

Dennis Miller was so bad I thought it just couldn't get any worse. Then bam, Tony Kornhieser. I used to live in DC and read a lot of his stuff for the WP, he's not funny in print either and he's just as annoying. How this guy has a career amazes me.

I forgot to add that Kornheiser is channeling Erica Jong. I never put much stock in that book, but it seems he needs a zipless fukk just the same. Yes, I know I'm good.

I can't stand Gruden but at least he knows what he's talking about. It'll be nice to finally watch a Monday night game without hearing someone bitch and moan about missing their bedtime.

You can't stand Gruden? Really? He's always seemed like a fairly likable guy.

Anyways, it's certainly an upgrade from Korny...
