I agree. I've never gotten wound up over wearing a jersey. If I bought one, and I never have, it would probably be a Namath jersey, but that's just me. That's right... Joe Namath... sombody who won a Superbowl for us. Now that's worth recognizing. I just can't see wearing a jersey with just any new player on it, I don't care who he is. Nothing looks more ridiculous than to see a guy walking around in the parking lot still wearing his DeWayne Robertson jersey or maybe John Abraham. I mean, come on... you look assinine.
I think you buy the jersey in hopes that the player plays well and if he indeed does, there's an "I told you so" factor to it. Which is a lil dumb to be honest. If I'm going to buy a jersey, usually I go with an established superstar that doesn't look like he's going to be changing teams anytime soon. PS- Woohoo! First Post!

I will get it right after I get my Jets #4. LOL. It's YOU that does crap like that, buying player jerseys willy-nilly, and often before he's proven his worth to the team. Not me. I've only had jerseys for one NFL team, and never for a player that had not played at least 3 years with that team. You like to imagine I'm capricious about things, but the reality is that there are very few here that can even equal that.
