Pardon the obligatory "this guy is available, we should get him" thread, but Rosenhaus is pushing pretty hard to get Darnell Dockett traded. At 27 years old, this 6-4, 285 lbs. defensive lineman hasn't missed a game in five years. I guess it's all about cost, (Rosenhaus is "twittering" a value of a first rounder+, but that's ol' Drew) but if we're going to shell out picks, I'd much rather solidify the trenches than pick up a flashy wide receiver. Thoughts?
If the Cards have to shell out big money, they would probably give it to Dockett over Boldin. That said, I dont see a chance of them trading Dockett.
I'm thinking the only thing that this will do is expedite the Boldin trade, because there's no way that the Cards are going to give both of them big extensions. They won't let a player like Dockett get away with their history of DL issues, not to mention Antonio Smith already jumping ship this offseason.
Dockett is a whiny little bitch. The Cardinal's are not going to trade him, he is going to have to play out his contract, rather he likes it or not. Adrian Wilson's contract is first priority, and he deserves a great contract....Dockett and Boldin can both go cry in a corner. Antonio Smith was no great loss, that's why he was allowed to walk. Be careful who you wish (or have interest) in.
