If it works out financially, you take that trade and run to the freakin bank with it!

Yup' yup'! TJ is NO Cmart, and his best year was probabaly last year. He got his Cash up-front, time to let him go. I would be happy with Leon who we DO need to resign his deal as well as our Rookie for this year. F TJ!

I think Braylon needs to get out of Cleveland. I'd give up a 2nd, 6th, and TJ.

If we get Braylon, I think this is at least a 10 win team.

a 2nd, 6th, and Thomas Jones? Giving up the AFC leading rusher with a 2nd to boot, I prey that Tanny is not selling the farm for Edwards...

Maybe not a 2nd, but it will probably take a 3rd. Jones has barely any value, he is 31 yrs old and wants a new contract. Who would want to trade for a RB with those traits? Edwards still has massive upside, is young and very athletic. I'd do a 3rd and TJ for Edwards... Question is would they?

I would love to have Braylon Edwards here. I'd hate to lose T. Jones though. Maybe we could get them to throw in Jamal Lewis who has played on Rex Ryans Ravens and can be a veteran back we would need to take some of the carries from Greene.

It seems like a writer just threw out an idea and or prediction but if the Jets feel that Greene can do the job with Leon Washington then I wouldnt mind making that kind of trade.

Running back is the easiest position on the field to jump right in and start. TJ isnt getting any younger.

You guys are way overvaluing TJ. He only has one more year as a Jet, and if we could swing a deal for Edwards, I'd do it in a second. We'd have to throw in a 2nd at least. No way you'd get Edwards with just a 3rd thrown in. TJ an over 30 y/o RB....

If we trade Thomas Jones, does Leon become the starter (i.e. 20 carries per game), or do we see a platoon of Leon and Shonn Greene. I believe he can be a productive back, especially with our O-Line, but Greene hasn't proven a thing yet in the NFL.

And trading T. Jones would leave us with laughable depth at RB, especially if Leon or Greene go down. Who would be our backup tailback, Tony Richardson? Danny Woodhead?

I don't think there would be a "starter" in this scenario. I think you would see them share carries fairly equally

RBs are known for having an impact right away, so greene would start with Leon, sharing carries. it doesn't matter that greene hasn't proven anything. So what.

it would be the same as last year, what if Leon or TJ got hurt in 08? we had laughable depth then. Its rare to have really good players all the way down the depth chart... that's why its a depth chart.

I would love this, but it just doesnt seem like something rex ryan would do. He wants a smash mouth offense, and TJ is way more valuable in that type of offense than Braylon.

In the predraft coverage, Brian Billick said that in Baltimore every year there was always a defensive player that Rex just had to have. He then went on to say that he didn't think he'd see the day where Rex would pass up a defensive guy... next thing ya know, Jets are trading up and selecting a franchise QB.

So... it's kind of hard to tell what Rex would actually do.

He's coached against Edwards ever since Edwards came into the league twice a year. If he sees something special there and the price is right, they'll bring him in.

I think edwards would fit in perfectly... he is a young extremely talented WR who will give sanchez confidence and make him look good.. get him in Green!!!

That would be a good trade.

Mangini has done more for the Jets in three months after leaving than when he was coaching for three years.

TD catches only mean the offense was elite or sucked. It doesn't necessarily mean the WR was great. Total catches and yards say a lot though.
