That is completely different. Cassel didn't play a lot in college, so there were no stats to judge him by. Cassel was also on USC, this guy played in the MAC. Last year he only had like 14 catches for just over 100 yards. I know he is battling injury problems, but his stats don't really impress me. But, I guess you never really know, there is a possibility he could be amazing, but right now I don't expect this guy to make our roster
We needed to bring in some people, delighted with Westerman, i actually really rate him as a player, and Cook if he can sort his head out can be a good player. Made some nice pick-ups so far this off-season, nice work yet again by the management.
Westerman can play off the end as a speed rusher or can play as a hybrid linebacker, 260 is not massive, but it's also not bad, he had a good combine, was 7th best in the 40, 4th in the 3 cone, 4th in the short shuttle and 4th in the broad jump. He has quickness, he finds a way to get to the QB, 26 sacks in his Rutgers career. He had a bicep tear and still played the final 5 games of the Rutgers season, has a great mentality, is a work horse, many expect him to follow the path of former Rutgers guy Eric Foster. He was a defensive end/tackle who came out of Rutgers last season, went un-drafted, was signed by the Colts and was a starter midway through his rookie season, he ended up playing in 13 games, starting 11 and doing quite well. Rutgers players have a certain mentality that seems to fit in with the NFL. I would seriously look out for him this Autumn. :up:
For the record, TJ Conley had the highest punting average in the nation last year, and the highest in a long time (47.4 yds). He might just be an amazing pickup. I also believe that Cook and Potter will make the team and make an impact down the line. These are 2 guys I was originally looking at for us in the 4th or 5th (before we got Sheppard).

Oh, I remember Bullock! He was going head to head with Harris when he played against Cuse. He was very good at using his body and getting rebounds. Had a nice jump shot too.

i think ryan mckee is going to make the team to add depth....i am sitting next to someone who knows hhim personally and played with him and says he has a lot of potential....
I'm really liking this udfa class so far. Don't want to get to ahead but i really feel Rex will a lot of these guys on the team. I really like Zach Potter a lot
