I know I posted this somewhere else, but, I feel it's worthy of it's own thread...

I'd bet the farm right now....

The New England Patriots will draft #1 next year....that's right 1st overall pick.

Trade thier 1st rounder, those 2nd rounders.....when Brady retires...he will have an automatic replacement. The rookie can sit behind Brady for a few years and then BOOM...it's so simple it's not funny.

Ummm ok. I doubt it because they dont want to pay the money, hence they always trade down.

how about the fact that they drafted Brace and Butler back to back.... fucking good picks... dammit.

also, the Fins have Davis, Smith, and Pat White.

    the bills suck at drafting.

but the two competitive rivals have good prospects

As long as they are only prospects and not good players, who cares? Everybody has good prospects and bad prospects and the bad prospects end up being the good players half the time.

Brace was a good pick up, but Pat White is a terrible pick up for the Fins. I don't get that other than than the wildcat. You can't run the wildcat every play.

Yeah the Pat White confused the hell out of us down here. I was really hoping for Connor Barwin or Clint Sintim with that pick.

Here's how Pat White is going to work out for us I think. He's going to see the field this year and run the wildcat for us. He's a QB with over 4000 yards rushing in college and a very athletic player. We're going to use him like Kordell Stewart a lot. And in 2010 we'll have Chad Henne as the starter and Pat White backing him up. But Pat White is probably going to be used as an all around offense player this year. Some QB, some RB, some WR. But this is also an investment for the 2010 season. Dolphins are set at QB for years.

Pat White is a very good pick up for the dolphins, the wildcat is the cornerstone of the phins offense and they basically played with 10 players everytime they ran the play, now you insert pat white and you have a real threat to throw the ball and they can add some more twists to the wildcat...

why would they draft Brady's replacement now? He has years left. They can always trade up but they never do, they have to pay their players on the team now more and can't afford a really high pick. I they wanted to trade up they would have just grabbed Curry this year.

The Patriots had no interest in moving up this year. They kept moving down, picking up good players but not necessarily superstars. And they stockpiled picks for next year. I think they have 3 picks in the 2nd round next year already?

    what?

do you really think there ready to tell Brady his days in ne are numbered? Cuz thats exactly what your doing if you draft a qb in the first round, especially the first overall pick.

There going to do what they always do trade down and amass depth and young talent so they have replacements when thier stars a leave or b get old.

Its amazing how the pats use this strategy and are so sucessful and the jets use the complete opposite strategy.

I wonder which one is working better hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

They didn't like this draft much. They like to stockpile so they have leverage to get who they want when they do decide to make a move.

They don't move up because they think they can get players who fit their scheme in the 2nd and 3rd for a tiny fraction of what a top pick gets paid, and especially this draft I agree, I think Butler is as good as jenkins almost 30 picks later for example.
