Well, he either does or he doesn't. Time will tell. He sure talks the talk as well as anybody since Peyton Manning. Obviously he probably can't fully walk that walk, but maybe he can get close. I really do not want to make a major move to trade up for him. If the Jets can manage to do it fairly cheaply, like the 17 and a player and a late pick then it probably is worth a look-see. if it turns into 3 picks, all first day jobbos then it will be a terrible deal unless he fully proves out.
I keep getting the feeling that if we trade up, it's going to be for Crabtree. He's the perfect fit for our wr need. 40 time and all, i think he's better than the numbers he has put up (not in college, but the skill tests)
I'm thinking its more and more likely that Sanchez falls to 8. Unless Cleveland takes him for some strange reason (that would be an awful pick), then Cincinnati or Oakland won't take Sanchez. Its looking like it will shake like this: 1. Stafford 2. Rams - Monroe or Jason Smith 3. Chiefs - Curry, Jackson, or an OT 4. Seahawks - Crabtree or Curry 5. Browns - Sanchez? Orakpo, Curry, or Crabtree would be better fits 6. Cincinatti - One of the tackles 7. Oakland - One of the WRs 8. Sanchez falls here, Jets trade up and select him.
I was really unsure about our pick but after reading your 1st post, I am now convinced. Thank you. LOL
For me they should allow cloning and then get Namath to shoot aload for us to use and work on! Having said that knowing the jets they would clone a woman!
Rams and Seattle could both take him, we also have top worry about Washington potentially trading their entire draft away.
Remember when matt lienart was all the rage on draft day? Jets fans were frothing for him. The Jets got immediate starters (and now solid vets) DBrick & Mangold. Lienart was selected 10th by zona and he rides the pine behind 37 y.o. kurt warner. trading up for sanchez is probably not a good move. Would rather see a trade up to get Raji and continue to build the foundation to become a top D.
Rams are deciding between Jason Smith and Eugene Monroe. They want to trade out of the pick, but are finding no takers. Seattle is reportedly deciding between Curry or Crabtree. The thing we have to worry about is someone jumping ahead of us to take Sanchez, or the rumor is the Browns would take him and try to trade Quinn (that would be such a horrible pick for them, they have 2 capable QBs and a ton of holes).
I could have told you Lienart was a bust, all I get is PAC 10 games on tv here. I would have never picked him.
You are forgetting Washington..although Snyder said last night they will NOT trade next year's #1 to move up.
