Most of these trade rumors we are hearing are from other message boards who have no more information about there teams than we do about the Jets. It seems like people are just picking topics out of the air to talk about. I feel like I could post a trade rumor here and it would automatically end up on another teams message board. Unless the rumor has some kind of substance behind it or a person with insider information it would be nice if we didn't have to listen to rumors with no substance to them for the next week. Basically any normal person who is just thinking up a desireable trade and posting it on another board shouldn't be taken so seriously.
If its so obvious why are people posting threads that say "If we traded to Detroit... Trade 4th to detroit for 9th and 40th" I know people get pissed off when threads like this are posted because they have fun making up rumors that are entirely not true... but I am sure there are some people out there who, like me, don't even bother going to the Jets section of this board when they come on anymore.
No I agree with you buddy, its just that those kind of posts are inevitable. They are going to happen no matter what you do. I was just messing with you on the Captain obvious pic
There is a difference between starting a rumor and speculating what the jets would do if a certain scenario presented itself. Isn't that right Captain Obvious?
Explain to me how presenting scenarios with no substance to them make any sense in ansering. If you hear a rumor from a good source then it is worth posting and discussing. But starting threads where you make up trades because you like seeing your name on the thread doesn't make any sense
First off this is a discussion board to talk about players you like, etc. Scenarios are one way to interact with each other on how each of us view players. In case you're wondering the Jets draft room has at least a hundred scenarios outlined - the old 'what if' game and how would they react if this scenario came up. This is an important way to prepare for the draft. If you think the only shite we should post are rumors with good sources you're dreaming and there would be far less threads. Half the writers in NYC don't have good sources. Trust me I don't need this board to fan my ego. If scenarios aren't your thing, let me know when one of us comes up with a rumor with a good source - I'll save my energy for that one.
Personally I think that this board would be better with less threads. Like I said before the number of threads really doesn't matter, it's the quality of them. If the thread is not a quality thread it floods the board and pushes good one's to the back so people never really get a chance to discuss them.
