There's been speculation as to trading partners. Philly has been mentioned, but now we have proof that they're looking into the possibility. Their GM has now acknowledged that they're looking. Who could they target, and what teams could they be concerned about, that could lead to us getting to slide back?

I'd assume we'd be in contention for the 2nd of their picks, rather than the 1st, if they want someone like Beanie Wells or Knowshon Moreno. That could allow us to slide to 28, pick up a late round receiver or Donald Brown, and have an extra 2nd (#53). Britt in the first and Greene/Gilbert in the 2nd?

I would love that... they could give us #28 and #53 (1'030 points opposed to the 950 value of #17 pick) or #28, #85 and next year 3rd or 4th rounder (900 or 960 points circa).
    Please let it happen!!!!!
ALthough my guess is they will want to move a bit more up in the draft by trading #21 and #53 (to 11-15 circa)

I'd suspect that as well. The question is whether they feel they need to grab a pick that won't fall to the 28th position. If they are looking at Pettigrew and Wells, they just might want to go 17, 21. The only reason to move up to 11 - 15 is if they really need a player who won't be around a few pick later (the Saints are a threat to take Wells) and don't have a pressing need for their 28th. The 21st is a great spot for Pettigrew, but they at least need to get ahead of Indy and possibly a couple of other teams to grab Wells.

That's funny that this is now considered a realistic option.

When I traded down with the Eagles as the Jets GM on another site many said that the trade was unrealistic. Now all of a sudden it's a great move and can definitely happen lol.

    My trade:
    Jets give: 1st
    Eagles give: 1st and 3rd

I used the 1st rounder to get Nicks and traded the 3rd rounder to get Quentin Groves (OLB) from the Jags.

The Eagles, Giants and Pats all have to either trade up or trade picks for players I.E.-Boldin, Edwards, Ocho-Cinco. Giants have 10 picks, Pats have 10 and the Eagles have 12. Where do you fit these guys on a roster? The Pats probably will trade picks for next year again.

yeah your trade also included Jesse Chatman and somehow you equated chatman to the value of the third round pick in the eagles trade.

Also I doubt the Eagles only want trade up 4 spots, believe me i would be as delighted as anyone, i have been clamoring for a trade down for a while now, but I just don't see it as a realistic possibility for the Jets... unless they want to move up from 28, but it would be cheaper to move up from 21...

I see #21 and #28 to the Packers for their #9 where they could jump ahead of Washington and San Fran. The Packers love to trade down and that's a safe spot to get Oher..

That's not a bad idea for the Eagles. LT is clearly their biggest need, with RB, WR, and TE following up. I'd imagine, however, that they don't have to go up quite so far to grab Oher, and would take a better deal somewhere in the teens. If they traded #28 and #53 to us, we'd likely send back our 6th or a pick from next year, but Oher would be off the board and they'd be looking at the 3rd and beyond for that LT.

Aaaand, just like that, we likely lose the Eagles as a trading partner:

Anyone think the Bills would want to trade with us with that 28th? Yeah, me neither. If I were Seattle, I'd start hitting up the phones on draft day. Offer up #4 for Buffalo's 2 number ones and drop Eugene Monroe into their laps.

The Bills won't make that trade, they are in perfect position right now to have a great draft.

They could take Michael Oher or Andre Smith at #11 (whichever one is there), then Brandon Pettigrew or the top DE at #28, and then the top DE or top TE left with their high 2nd rounder.

If I'm the Bills I'd go for:
    1a) Michael Oher, LT
    1b) Brandon Pettigrew, TE
    2) Michael Johnson, Larry English, Connor Barwin, or Paul Kruger, DE

If they go with a DE at 1b, then they can hope Pettigrew falls to their 2nd which is certainly possible, or if he doesn't they can take their favorite TE between Nelson and Cook.

I don't see why they would want to give up 2 1st rounders to get a good LT prospect when they could stay put and still get a good LT prospect

Again, it depends on whether they want to risk Oher going in the top 10. The Redskins would love to have him, among others. Do you trust Snyder to stay put and not jump over them? If Sanchez is off the board, I'm sure the 49ers would love to drop down.

As I said, I think Seattle would love this deal. If I'm the Bills, I likely stay put. However, there's always a risk that you find yourself out of the tackle race this year if you stay at 11. I'm also far from certain that Pettigrew lasts until 28. If the Saints grab Wells at 14, I'd assume that the Eagles would take Pettigrew at 21.

Either way, my original point was that Seattle would be wise to explore the possibility of a trade at this point.

Eagles took Jason Peters and gave the Bills their 28h overall pick.

The Bills now have 2 1st rounders.
