Cotchery's Commentary on the 2009 Schedule Eric Allen http://www.newyorkjets.com/blog/posts/999-cotchery-s-commentary-on-the-09-schedule
Cotch has his head on straight, and he is developing into a little bit of a leader, he will need to show his leadership ability even more this season, with so many young WR on the team. Loved how he described 'protecting our own turf' , it's vital to a play-off team to make there home stadium a hard place to come to. Planning on playing a physical style of play, it's good to get his analyse on each and every game.
The media experts say MIA has the hardest schedule in the league, in much part due to playing 4 teams coming off of their bye week. So count MIA out. Unless TO shocks the world I think we can beat BUF in the division race. So its between us and NE. Gonna be tough. They wouldn't have let Cassel go if they really thought they needed him.
All it takes is one hit on Brady's knee and he could crumble like a piece of paper. Could they really find another Cassel to fill that role...........
I'm just glad we don't have to hear the gay dolphins fans tell us how it's going to be so hot in miami when the jets play there that they have no shot at winning.
Methinks that Bryan Thomas should worry more about being an impact player than tickets for his family and friends....
I think it is more out of traditionalism that dates all the back to the late 60's and 70's when we used to have some real battles. Now, I do not have the sense of rivalry that exists in the AFC East. I think a lot of the old rivalry was lost when they re-mapped the divisions to 4.
Cotch knows his stuff. He hit the nail on the head with the Buffalo game being moved to the skydome (rogers centre) in Toronto and how that works in the Jets favor. Good analysis.
Good point, didn't consider the history. I just can't stand seeing those Raider fans in their Halloween outfits.
We would never cry if we saw Brady get injured, but I think most of us here would not wish it on him. If we are going to be anybody we have to beat this guy square on. Perhaps BB falling down a flight of stairs may be more in order.
It was revived for a bit early in this decade when we played them two years in a row in the playoffs and five times in three years. Back to back weeks in Oakland, once to get in the playoffs and the next week in the first round. It went south as the Raiders did, we've held up our end, mostly. Clinched vs them in 2006 as well.
Because the Raider fans secretly like the JETS, believe me I know. Its the Chiefs and Broncos that they hate. I love going the oakland and taking picture with their costumes on. It's one of the best tailgate parties in the league. They do it big, lots of fun. And the Jets always sell out, witch is sometimes hard for oakland to do the last couple of years.
