    The Jets or the Giants?

    Jets:
    1. Cotchery
    2. Stuckey
    3. Clowney
    4. Smith

    Giants:
    1.Domenik Hixon
    2.Steve Smith
    3.Mario Manningham
    4. Sinorice Moss

Don't be a wise guy and say the Bills either. Haha.

Even with the loss of Burress and Toomer, you have to give the edge to the G-Men. Which is a bad thing. :eek:hmy:

Cotch is the best in the town. But Smith and Hixon are better than Clowney and Stuckey. With a good year from Stuck and Clowney, that could change.

Yeah, I agree with that for sure. Obviously, well hopefully, both teams will address their WR holes in the draft or in a trade for someone like Boldin.

The players the G-Men have are really talented and have alot of upside. Let alone they have more experience than all of our WR other than Cotch.

I think you should look at them in comparison to the guy who's most like them on the other team:

    Cotch>Smith
    Hixon>Clowney (he's more proven)
    Stuckey>Sinorice
    Smith> Manningham

    Looks like we win

    Also
    Keller>Boss

I voted for the Giants because I think Steve Smith is underrated and I think Manningham has tons of potential. Guy was a force in college.

    Tyree's numbers:

    2003 - 211 yards 0 TD
    2004 - 155 yards 1 TD
    2005 - 52 yards 1 TD
    2006 - 197 yards 2 TD
    2007 - 35 yards 0 TD

He did have one of the biggest catches in Super Bowl history, but based on production, he hasn't done all that much yet.

We'll see if he steps up this season.

I don't think that's really a fair comparison as the talent difference between Hixon and Clowney is significantly higher than the talent difference between Smith & Cotchery. The fact of the matter is both teams have young and talented WR that need to prove themselves. The Giants do in Smith & Hixon and, to a greater extent, in Manningham. For the Jets is obviously Clowney and Stuckey. Both teams also have their burdens to suffer with as well (Moss & Smith).

I give the Giants a slight edge, but only slight. If you want to look at all receiving options then it favors the Jets because of Keller & Leon. But if you want to look at who has the better passing game in general I think it goes to the Giants because of Eli.

...God that felt good! I haven't been able to post much and it feels good to clicking "submit reply" now!

Cotchery is the best of the bunch. The Giants have a lot of high round picks not producing, and the Jets have a lot of late rounders that produce more than originally expected

Plaxico Burress was the only legitimate WR on the GIANTS roster. He made the rest look good. SIGN HIM NOW.

Only legit WR? That's a bit extreme, methinks. Though I will agree with the consensus of Cotchery being the best out of all of them.

MY response remains the same. Smith and Hixon are both young and have shown they can play in this league. Hixon especially will improve now that he has starter experience under his belt. Smith is now a true #2 with Toomer being cut and this should increase his production as well. It isn't accurate to think that these 2 WR could only produce when Burress was on the field. He made them better, but he didn't make them NFL WRs when they were not.

The preferences of Eli notwithstanding, Hixon & Smith still have shown they belong in the league. Eli does overthrow, but he has also shown the ability to hit guys in stride. I think Smith & Hixon will increase their chemistry with Eli & either a rookie WR or Braylon Edwards (though this is doubtful at best) will be in camp this summer as well.
