How after all this time can people still have Cutler above Young and Leinart, it makes no sense whatsoever.

damnit, if i did that was because i went back and changed things around before i actually hit post, i think he was where Sims was, but I forgot about Sims so i had to stick him in and went over DW, so i just obviously forgot to stick him back in, id probably have him at about 18 or so..somewhere right in there

    oh and thanks aha

Why do we assume that 'the draft board' is simply a list of players from 1 to 300? I can't help but feel they also break them down into position categories. This also brings up the subject of need vs best available athlete. Everyone has Leinart #2 or #4 - is that a ranking of best available athlete or simply a reflection that he is ranked as the best available QB? How does that compare to the athleticism of Dawson, etc. who are ranked much lower? Is Leinart ranked artificially high because the top 3 QBs this year may not be that good relative to other years?

How do you evaluate who the best available athlete is between a QB, a DE, a TE or a WR? I find it odd to make such comparisons and very difficult to distinguish given they have completely different roles on the field.

What if the Jets draft Davis at #4 and at #29 Pope is listed as their best available athlete - would you pick 2 TEs in the first round because your board says so? Of course not, therefore, NEED plays a role.

The way I look at it - a draft board is organized with 2 components. (1). Separate them into position rankings based on their on field performance and natural athleticism . Within each position group segregate them into 1st round material, 2nd tier, etc.(2). Which players will have the most impact if playing for the Jets? They have to fit the system.

I honestly feel (hope?) the Jets feel there is not a whole lot of difference in QBs from Leinart to Kellens(?), therefore Leinart is not ranked that highly, ie. Kellens will potentially have as much impact on the Jets as Leinart.

    My board:

    Bush
    Ngata
    Bunkley
    Davis
    Ferg
    Hawk
