    Rex Ryan Rule :

Unlike Eric Mangini, Ryan doesn't mind if his players speak their mind. But he does have one in-house rule: When giving an interview, a player must mention the names of two teammates and one coach. The idea, of course, is to promote a team-oriented approach.

Funny moment today: Walking by Kerry Rhodes, who was surrounded by reporters, QB Erik Ainge caught the safety's attention and gave him a discreet "2 and 1" signal with his fingers.

    For the record, Rhodes complied.

Yeah I agree. So far I like what I hear in what's going on with the team and the atmosphere in the locker room.

Rhodes probably thought he was an intern taking his lunch order. He's still probably waiting for his 2 number 1's from McDonalds.

I knew Ainge was good for something. No wonder Ryan kept him on the roster.

There were locker room problems during Mangini's tenure?

lol, I love it...It's been a long time since the Jets have had a coach like Rex Ryan.

Herm was a great players coach but he was far from a great X's and O's type of coach and Mangini was a little stuck up in his own ways, Mangini wanted to win like none other but he was really bad at making 2nd half adjustments.

With Rex Ryan, we have a man who is proven in terms of running and calling the shots for great D's over the years.

On a side note, on Madden...Rex Ryan is ranked as the 2nd best defensive coach on the game...Only behind Kiffin of the Bucs...And Madden knows his shit

It's good that Ryan allows the players to speak to the media. The thing about Mangini being in Cleveland is that no one pays attention to the Browns anyways, so no one will notice if the players speak or not.

probably more like Ainge gave Rhodes 'the finger' and Rhodes 'caught on' and started bashing Cuttler.

    ,,/,, ,,/,,

either way, if this policy lites a fire under VG's ass then i'm all for it

One of the beat writers from Cleveland was on Sirius last week and he was complaining about the Mangini's accessibility policy.

Mangini is already getting ripped in Cleveland. Some fans already want him out due to the way he runs his locker room.

Link? I would like to read that, lol

I wish the best of luck for Mangini and I feel he can become a winning coach with the Browns...Im not sure why Cleveland fans wouldnt be excited about Mangini...He comes from a great coaching tree and has a desire to win.

Because he's already managed to alienate players such as Shaun Rogers and is shopping around brady quinn without actually giving him a chance. And, he's already getting a lot of comparisons to Romeo Crennel. A guy from a good coaching tree but never had the ability to be a good head coach for them.
