you have to be sniffing glue not to do that trade. straight up revis for cutler? in a f*ckin heart beat and twice on sunday.

how many time does revis touch a ball in a game. and then how many for a franchise qb.. i can't imagine what the jets would look like with thinking like this, but then again, thats why the jets are the jets!!!!

when you have an opportunity at a franchise qb, you make the leap!!! it will be the same ole jets if they don't..

some of you guys just don't comprehend the value of a franchise qb. i guess that's why so many jets fans were impressed with the noodle.

the jets aren't likely to see a championship until they get their franchise qb, which is an absolute must in this league, especially in this division with a brady in new england.. to over come them, top tier qb is a must!!!

    Are you serious?
Though I have better things to do than tell you why Revis has more of an impact on our team than Cutler, I will ignore them and do so:

1.You're an idiot for saying Revis doesn't touch the ball. HE IS A CORNERBACK. THE OPPOSING QB'S JOB IS TO THROW THE BALL AWAY FROM HIM.

2.Our team is defensive minded. We don't need a superstar. Just a game manager like Kerry Collins who can make some plays here and there. You take a stud CB over an iffy QB anyday.

    3. Revis is cheaper as of right now. Revis - 6 Years - 30 million. Cutler - 6 years - 48 million.

    4. Cutler has attitude problems. This entire thing would not even be discussed if Cutler hadn't made a big stink about McDaniels exploring a trade.

Or a defense that runs an offense into the ground. That kind of helps too.

I'm convinced Jets fans are afraid of the Franchise QB. They just seem to want the once in a lifetime defense to do all of the work and not have a 2 minute drill master who usually dismantles those defenses when the game is on the line.

The strong defense needs to compliment the franchise QB that made the big play of the game - see the Steelers of 08, Giants of 06, the Brady/Vinatieri combination, Colts of 05 (run defense came to life in playoffs only), Elway's back to back, Favre in 96, Cowboys Dynasty with Aikman and Smith, Montana and Rice and the Genius Bill Walsh, Gibbs and the skins, Jake the snake..... I could go on and on and on...

what's the counter argument - the Ravens in 2000 and the Bucs in 2002? The Bears in 85? That's a losing argument, there have been 6 SBs that were won by the defense and not the playmaking QB - 6 out of 43. Thats a 14% chance of winning with what most Jets fans want... I'll take the 86% odds instead.

Jets fans are afraid to be great, its what decades of mediocrity does to people.

We are all brethren, so I don't want to be too harsh.

I did call the Jets the 'New York Pussy Jets' for a while during the season. I should keep that in my sig until proven otherwise... I hope Ryan changes the culture here.

You have to be talking out of your ass, because you're Joesmoe, and I've become accustomed to nothing but you talking out of your ass.

There's absolutely no saying Cutler is a franchise QB. He's definitely better than what we have. I want the guy here as bad as anyone, but Revis is going to be a damn good player for many years to come, in all likelihood.

If I'm giving up a player, I'm thinking any QB on our current staff, TJ.....

Not Revis. You take a probowl player off the D to get a probowl player on O. Then Jay can play points catch up like Favre did for the last 5 games of the season.

It doesn't matter anway. I can't imagine Rex Ryan signing off on a deal that sends away a probowl player, that he had specifically singled-out when coming here, to get a QB.

    Sorry, just don't see it.

dude, perhaps youre forgetting that Cutler is a pro bowler as well. A pro bolw QB trumps a pro bowl CB by leaps and bounds!!! Its moronic to even suggest that you would ponder that trade for more than 3 minutes....

The trade isn't happening for Revis. Yes we know Cutler is a PB QB, no forgetting. Its not happening regardless. After last year, getting burned in the passing game like a pop warner team, there's no way I send my best corner away, especially when he's considered to be one of the best in the league....from the mouth of Rex Ryan.

    Get over it.

Can't you just use 1 account to get your point across? Agreeing with yourself doesn't make the argument any more plausible.
