i say trade while his stock is high. we where in this same situation after 04 when jordan was a free agaent and curtis just won the rushing title.

besides how many break aways did jones have? does he break alot of tackles? no i think he is a product of our O line. get fresh legs and match it with leon.

It will be tough to come away with the another season like last, but still worth while to bring him back, but not at an LC or Bryan Thomas levels

After last season its about as high as its gonna get. Might as well sell him before the head gasket goes.

I agree he does not break tackles & does not out run guys. He is a product of the O line & he 31 no new contract in 1 to 2 years he is done.

I made a thread suggesting that a while ago and got roasted by a lot of people. A lot of people did make a good point though that his trade value probably isn't very high. It's probably lower now that he's asking for a new contract.

My guess is that his trade value will only get worse from here. At this point we might as well bite the bullet, give him an extra $500,000-$1,000,000 to shut him up for a year and draft his replacement next year.

Did we get him for a 4th round pick? If so 2 years older at 31 I do not see us getting more than a 6th round pick for the guy.

I don't think we should trade him. He had a good year in Chicago and we got him for a 3rd? round pick, and he was a few years younger. I say we keep him, as he has a low cap number for this year. Our offense doesn't have a lot of playmakers, I don't want to lose another one

It was a trade down in the second from the early second to the mid-late second. Something like 15-17 picks down.

Give the man a freakin pay raise this one season, that or add more next season god damn, he lead the AFC in rushing and he is making 900K this year give him some money. We didnt seem to have a problem with Coles getting the last two years of his contract guaranteed and Jones>>>>>>Coles

He can't go anywhere .. play hardball with him ... there's still two years left on his contract ... start Washington ... draft a RB ... limited Jones carries
