You can have Cutler and Edwards, I'm trading for a 23 year old Namath and a 23 year old Rice. I laugh at your Cutler and Edwards trade.

(for some reason Im not allowed to post links so I had to break it up)

If the Lions offer #20, and we dont offer 17, I'm going to be pissed off.

Cutler...ain't gonna happen. I dont think he make it in NY anyway. The douche bag factor is way too high. The first time he gets shitty with the press that would be the begining of the end.

So basically you wanna trade the farm for a quarterback and a receiver with hands of stone? You do know draft picks dont grow on trees right?

    I'd take Cutler. I think he's a good option.

For a young franchise QB and a young WR with elite potential. Hands of stone he can cure.

The guy caught 80 for 1,289 yards and 16 TDs two years ago. There's nothing that tells me that he can't put up those #s again, as long as he doesn't play for the worst franchise in NFL history.

A young franchise quarterback and an elite wide receiver cost a ton of money. Who do you expect the Jets to cut for the outrageous salaries that these 2 are going to demand? Id take Cutler for the right price but Cutler and Edwards? Thats pushing it. If were going to pay a lot of money to a wideout, lets get one that wont lead the league in drops. Boldin is on the trading block so he'd be perfect for the dream scenario you worked out in Madden.

Like I said, I see these guys manipulate the cap so well that I wouldn't be shocked if we could fit both salaries in there. I mean we went form +13 Mil to almost 30 mil under just by renegotiating and cutting some dead weight.

Cutler and Boldin would work as well...

I'm patiently waiting for someone to reply that they did this in Madden, therefore it's possible in real life

Actually I've replied already that you probably can't do these in Madden because players in Madden don't lose trade value simply because they aren't happy with their team.

You could never get R. Moss in Madden for a 4th round pick just because he has character issues.

What if we traded for Jay n B Ed and then traded them to the pats and got Brady and Moss and with Moss, we send him off to the Cards and get Fitz for it.

Now we have Fitz and Brady. Trade Brady back to the Patriots and get their first, two seconds, and their first and second next yr.

Now we have Fitzy, two first rounders and three second rounders. Offer all that to the Browns and get Hank Poteat back. Our secondary will be one hell of a secondary.

They sure will sit a yr out in a hold out. I don't see that in real life so you are stuck. Give a new contract or trade.

Streetfighterjet, I understand the post and agree with most of your points.

I feel we could get Cutler for a 1st this year and 3rd next year, completely possible,

Also Edwards has not lived up to the hype and I think he could be had for a 2nd this year and our 2nd next year.

For all you doubters,, just remember Moss was had for the fourth rounder.

We would still have a couple mid round picks this year but more importantly a QB/WR duo of the future. Next year we would have a 1st rounder.

You all need to realize a future pick is nothing more thana gamble and the gamble odds get worst the better your team plays the year before. I hope our 1st round pick next year is #32. And the 2nd rounder we would give up for Edwards a lowly #64.

Note: you all say how would we pay these guys and I say restucture there contract out for 5 years with a lower bite this season and next and big pay-days in years 3-5. If you give then garranteed money they would sign.

The only reason Moss was had for a 4th is cause the entire league saw him as a washed up has been that didn't have the desire to play any more based on his performance in Oakland. Nobody believed he would rekindle his desire to play and be able to get back into form.

If you remember right after the deal was announced, everybody was saying that it was either going to be an absolute waste of a 4th round pick or a complete steal (if he could some how come back to form).

No matter what you talk about, you just don't mention Oaklands moves. It is an unwritten law. That franchise is worst than Detroit Lions. I guarantee you if you or I was their GM, we'd do a better job than the Dickface Al.

How about we try to give NE a fourth for Moss? He is too old now so maybe NE would agree? That was the worst trade in the recent history IMO by any team. Of course it was the best for NE.
