The Colts are also supposedly working out Sanchez... it's just a workout.

    Great news for different reason.

This means if Sanchez falls to #17 we may or may not take him.

What it really means isno Freeman! Yes!!!!!!

Eric had a better college career, will pick up the offense fast and is under contract for three more years.

Kellen has a quick release and has been in the offense the longest, not a very glowing review. Last year of his contract and last with the Jets.

Brett has all the intangibles and the stronger arm. He is the man for now.

Next year Kellen will be gone and Brett may have to fight off Eric, but no need for drafting a QB or bringing in an old vet.

Is this the show hosted by the "Lance Pants" lookalike?

He also said that Kellen can make all the throws and that an OC does not have to hold back the Offense with him in there.

Working out Sanchez means nothing. It's called DUE DILLIGANCE.

I don't think the jury's out on Kellen just yet. A lot of people are ready to anoint Brett Ratliff the starter for the 2009 season but don't sleep on Clemens. The only real experience he has was with a god-awful offensive line and a pretty difficult schedule. He had no running game to lean on and his number 1 receiver was hurt. As a starter, he was 3-4 (I don't count the NE game) and the Jets were in every game he played with the only exception the 34-3 loss to Dallas on Thanksgiving. His numbers were awful for the reasons I mentioned. I think with the team we have now, if we add a solid vet like Holt and a top flight receiver from the draft (Nicks, Britt or somehow Maclin would be ideal) he could be a quality starter for us

I don't read much into the Jets working out Sanchez, I really think they have the starting QB on the roster already.

I really want Clemens to work out for the Jets. I feel he has the ability. If Ratliff wins the QB battle, I will be worried for this team's offense.

I agree with ace, the games that Kellen lost were only by a score for the most part. I wouldn't mind the Jets picking up a back up vet, but the kids on the team deserve a shot at starting.

I love how certain points are left out when people are trying to make a case for ratliff.

No it's not. There is no such thing as DUE DILLIGANCE.

Anyone else get the feeling our QB's will be throwing for 150 yards a game (no matter who it is)? This QB class isn't very exciting. The FO needs to address other glaring needs this season. Consequently, this draft is peppered with good receivers, they need to address that. If Clemens or Ratliff doesn't work out this season, then draft one of next years QB studs.

I hope TJ's legs are ready to burden the load. Although, I hope this turns into more quality touches for Washington.

On another note, Schotty can be pretty creative; so the offense may surprise us.

The only number that really matters for our starting QB this year is W-L. All we need is QB that won't make mistakes and has a relatively strong arm to stretch the defense from time to time. And I'm thinking we're gonna try to pick up one more RB (probably in the draft), other than Mangini who thought that 4 kickers was more important than depth at the RB position.

With the Jets it's more like doo doo dilligence.

Is this the SNY Jets Nation? It should have auto-recorded for me, it didn't. When is it on again?

I'm not to sure we are going to see any "field stretching" with the combination of QBs/WRs we have. Cotchery isn't a deep threat (but, he is a good YAC guy), and he is going to get doubled up. Hopefully, someone like Clowney can become an actual force down field. That being said, I'm not seeing much down field stuff.

What I was eluding to was the fact that Schotty is going to have to be creative. 150 yards passing won't get it done these days. If we become to one dimensional on offense then they will stack the box and shut down the run. The offense NEEDS one more legitimate weapon. I think it can be done, but it's not going to look pretty!

But, like you said, it's all about "W's"!

Cotchery is a good possession receiver that gets lots of YAC but he's been a pretty decent deep threat at times. He's not a burner by any means but he's shown a decent ability to get open deep in the past.

Look at the Ravens offense last year (not saying we should emulate EVERYTHING they do)....they were a power running team but they stretched the field a bit and they don't have any real burners on their team

Good points, Cotch is a good receiver. However, he's going to get the double team now that he doesn't have Coles. I'm hoping Keller can really make a difference, and this should alleviate some coverage. Especially teams with poor LB coverage, whom will need to get help from the secondary to cover Keller.

The Ravens played a lot of power football last year. We can't match that with what we have. They played with a lot of 3 TE jumbo sets, and we simply can't do that with our roster.

BTW- I'd love to get Nicks!
