I'm hearing he's not real happy with his situation over in Philly. I think our 1st and 3rd would probably get it done. The man probably has 3 good years left, and I think that trade alone would be good for an additional 2 wins next year. What do you guys think?
A little off topic here, but I did not want to start a thread to ask a question. I heard on the WFAN yesterday the colts had a decent linebacker that they were not resigning, they mentioned the Jets were a possibility. Anybody know who it was and if it is a possibility. Thanks
NO!!!!! Lets stop with the retreads. We have to develope our next signal caller. We need someone who will be our future. Not someone who's best days are in the past. Stick with the plan. Clemens /Ratliff. May the best an win.
We don't need to be wasting first round picks on old QBs, regardless if they have a couple of years left. I think, with the defense we should have on the field, we'll be more than fine with Ratliff or Clemens. We need that first pick for either a tall receiver or a stretch-the-field receiver, or hopefully a combination of both. We can't trade that pick unless it brings back Boldin, which prob. ain't gonna happen. We should have enough playmakers on this team to be fine with our in-house options. I either want the kid from Florida or Jeremy Maclin. No Mark Sanchez, please.
Donovan McNabb is the farthest thing from a retread. a retread is someone who has gone through several teams. this is a worse idea than the Vince Young thread. not because McNabb isn't a better QB, but because it would never happen, from the Jets end or Eagles. the Eagles have made it abundantly clear they want to keep him. not to mention the Jets would never trade a 1st and a third. but, hypothetically, what if we all agreed the Jets should make this trade. what was the OP going to do, print it out and send it to the Jets as if it was market research on what the fans wanted and voila, the Jets would make it happen just to appease us. I just don't see the reasoning in proposed trades -- it doesn't matter what we think! do you want a cookie for proposing a trade we all agree with?
No way. I dont wanna trade all of our draft picks. And McNabb is getting old anyway. Time to develop a QB.
I would have taken a look had things kept getting worse in Philly and they eventually released him but I wouldn't trade for him.
I would gladly give up our third and fourth round picks for McNabb. Anything more than that would be a rip off.
When i say retread i mean an older vet whos best days are behind him. I don't care if he was on 1 team or 5 teams, he's still a retread. McNabb can obviously still play. That being said, i don't give a rats ass. I want to have a QB that we can build a team around. McNabb is a stop gap type. NO NO NO!
