Wow, about 7 mill a year?!? I didn't think he'd get that much. Glad we got Scott then. :)

And as figured, they waited to until FA began so that our compensation didn't get bumped up to a 2nd rounder.

And the Jets get taken again. Thanks so much for Rex. Brings some professionalism to a team that was a joke.

Scott is gonna be good for what Ryan wants to do with the Jets, but Vilma was a stud in New orleans last year playing a style that is more suited to his talent.

Both seem to be good moves for their respective teams.

I seem to be the only one who thinks a 3rd pick for a good but not great player with only one year on his contract is a good deal. It wasn't a 3rd for Vilma, it was a 3rd for one year of Vilma. The Jets gave a 3rd and a 5th to CAR for Jenkins with one year on his contract and Jenkins was obviously a great player, much better than Vilma. I think the Jets got a good, but not great price for a player who fits that same description. Having said all that, I still wish they had kept him, though his market price seems to high for a LB who would most likely not be a full time starter in a 3-4 defense.
