as a michigan fan i love edwards and would love to get him but no matter what we send or propose no way mangini sends anyone this way. we could offer him a 1,2, and 3 and he wont take it.

i don't know if i necessarily buy this, it's not like mangini is the GM... and if he was pulling strings completely he wouldn't turn down a trade because the jets offered it to him

Mangini's Browns have traded Kellen Winslow:

The Cleveland Browns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have each announced that tight end Kellen Winslow has been traded from Cleveland to the Bucs.

The Browns have received "undisclosed draft picks."

The next step could be a new contract for Winslow. He has been clamoring for more money for a while, and the Buccaneers have an unprecedented amount of cap space.

According to Madden, Gholston is rated 93 as a Defensive End. So, let's move him. It works on PLaystation.....so it HAS to work in real life. If it doesn't, we can just turn his ratings up and it'll be cool. Then we'll switch Revis to WR, Release Him, Re-sign him at League minimum, and then move him back to Corner. God, I should be the GM.

Im with you there bro and I agree. But then again, we have threads saying, xyz is a FA. Shall we target him? Not like the FO will listen to us.

I guess people (including me) do this to feel good and if it comes true, we go and say "I told you so".

I posted this in the other thread about Ray Lewis. If we sign Lewis, I'd like to try and see an Edwards-for-Thomas + a 2nd or 3rd swap. Mangini might still have some love for Thomas and Edwards is coming off an iffy year.

    From Schefter FA Blog:
Now the Browns have to make a decision on wide receiver Braylon Edwards, who also wanted a new contract. Now the Browns must decide whether to extend Edwards’ contract or trade him.

It isn't such a crazy idea to trade for Edwards... i mean... i wouldn't but it's not like i was taking about signing the pope.

Oh get out of here.... The Browns would never do that. If Thomas was cut, he'd go unclaimed for a month.... How many of you with the sh-t offers are continue?

Shit, i'd have loved Winslow. We don't have a true TE on the roster. Kellers a tweener and can't block. We really need help at that position.

To get Edwards we probably have to give them Harris, Smith and our first.
