look at this site: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/index?&lpos=globalnav&lid=gn_NFL_NFL click on the 3rd video on the right that is an interview with winston justice.. he says hes positive he will be a better pro than ferguson.. hands down.. i dont think we should go OT at #4.. we need an impact player (m. williams, v. davis, reggie bush..) otherwise trade down
He's a Much better fit for the Jet's.. HE IS A RIGHT TACKLE... We already have a LT..... Simple.. Why have mediocre Run Blockers all over the line when we can keep Jones in place and get a mauler like Justice....
The questions about Justice have nothing to do with ability. Typically, a guy from that high profile of a school with those kind of workout numbers would carry a higher grade. The questions about Justice are questions of maturity. The team that's drafting him could be getting Walter Jones, but they could also be getting Chris Terry, or Carlton Haselrig. That's why teams are so much higher on Ferguson. -X-
By not taking D-brick are we to trust in Clements? I really haven't seen Clements play but is he solid? I hear he is slow.
No, He's a Right Tackle and a great fit for the Jets..... Some sources may have him as a LT projection but, for the Jets he's a great RT to go with Jones.. He protected Lienarts blind side (lefty) as a Right tackle.
Those questions have been answered - It's not like he's a punk, he had an incident and learned from it.. From all acounts now he's fine.
Hes got the strength to play RT, and the athletic ability to play LT. He can play either side in the pros, only concern with him (as mentioned above) are character concerns
I want Mario (obviously) but, other than that, - I'd hope to trade down a bit and collect another late 1st rounder or 2nd... Best Case Scenario - The Jets move down to 11 and take whoever falls out of: Bush Williams D'Brick Hawk Davis Huff Justice Ngata Young Leinart Cutler
There's a lot more OT's in this draft than that overrated guy at the top that is only an average run blocker and doesn't fit in with the Jets needs.... AND, they're cheaper!!!!!!! But, you can't get Super Mario later!
What is the point of taking a young, athletic LT with mediocre run blocking skills at #4? Absolutely none considering we already have a player on the roster with the same exact description. The #4 pick holds so much value in this draft class. Please do not waste it on OL, especially if we can grab McNeill at #29.
I see what your saying, and i agree but if the QB we need is not at 4, take him, he would be a last resort pick for #4.
well Bush, Williams, Leinart will be gone and Hawk is a great player and so is Davis, but those are one of the very few positions in which we have gaps to fill....
What the hell do you want him to say? "No, I just suck, these other guys are better picks!!!" He is trying to increase his draft position and his payday. They all are.
