I'd love it if the Jets were on Hard Knocks. That show is great IMO. An entertaining new prelude to the start of the season. And if Herm's Chiefs can get on the show then the Jets definitely can get on.

I don't see it as a downside at all to the season. I'm sure there are many other viable distractions then a couple guys with cameras on them. They're professional players, if they can't handle that then we have a bigger problem.

First of all, the whole Favre thing would be resolved WAAAY before the show ever airs. Favre has til the end of this month to make a decision. Hard Knock kicks off once training camp starts. So out goes the Favre factor, out goes the high ratings.

Second of all, the face of our franchise, Clemens, Ainge, or Ratliff doesn't attract viewers. There really isn't going to be a lot of story lines if any at all. I don't anticipate any hold outs. Coles has already been guaranteed his money, Baker will be gone, and Ty Law isn't a Jet anymore. All you'd be seeing is Mike T crunching numbers.

If you want story lines galore like holdouts, awful contract disputes, piss-poor drafts, awful organization structure, and an owner who may drop dead at any moment, then lobby for the Raiders to get in on this.

Horrible idea. It can create distractions on so many different levels, not to mention the resentment some players might feel towards others, in regards to TV face time. It exposes your warts, and family disfunction, all for the entertainment of the viewing public. I want a football team, not a hit TV show. I want football players, not the next reality TV stars.

I'd rather have my team be about football. They can be on TV on gameday. If you're a fan, you can get enough from the paper and the website. The players should be focused on football, not cameras.

it really isnt that much of a distraction, nfl films have crews at every teams training camp, all HBO does is try and produce storylines through their all access footage. All the show does is showcase life in training camp. Training camp is extremely interesting by itself and hard knocks just displays this to the public.

Because normally the HBO camera crews follow the players into there dorms, hotels, locker rooms, meetings, and do interviews???

i mean if you guys dont like this idea because you are worried about the best interest of the team, like distractions and possible poor play? then it looks like you guys are on the final pages of the excuse book. Favre's "injured" arm was a couple chapters before.

Bad Idea, every team that went on HK went on to have a shitty season the following year. No thanks.

    It's just a distraction anyway.

i also would rather not see the jets on any hard knocks show.

however hows about somebody calls up sny and tells them that they should have their asses out in the new digs for every practice open to the public and broadcast them on sny!

or shit if they were going to do some cockamamie shit like hard knocks why not do it on sny? they are the jets specialists right? or do we want some shitbag overblown guy to do the voiceovers?
