The result of lighting a fire under Gholston would be to only burn his ass.

You can't give up on Gholston just yet..... it was ONE year... his rookie season.... under a coach who was given walking papers.... you gotta give him another shot.

There may be younger guys available, but there's only 1 Ray Lewis. What he could bring to this team would transend his play on the field. He would bring a whole new attitude, and work ethic to this team. He could help our players in the transition over to Rex's defense. It would be like having a coach on the field.
If i'm Tannenbaum i say, "hey Rex, who do you need to help make this a smooth, quick transition, and get our guys playing your game"?
    REX-"RAY LEWIS,BABY"

i'm with you a hundred percent, I honestly can't believe he got away with this shit scott free, it's like nobody remembers this incident happend. At least O.J. got shit about it for the rest of his life, Lewis got off scott free for 1 years trouble for his help in that shit.

You can't compare Ray to OJ! I mean, come on.
I understand where your coming from, though. Some people are just treated differntly, then others. It is kinda perplexing how the "incident" is never mentioned.
The thing is though, Ray is not a bad locker room guy. He's actually an asset in the locker room. He brings out the best in those around him. Like a Michael Jordan. He has never been in trouble since that incident.
I really can't argue with your point, other then the OJ comparison, but i think Ray would help us emnsly(spelling?)

at the time those dudes got whacked i think it was posted somewhere that they were NY Giants fans, so i can understand why no one really cared.

as far as rayray coming here, it would give favre someone to hang out with since they're both pushing 50.

brett could show rayray how to catch catfish with his bare hands and the correct way to roast coon and possume.

rayray could let brett ride shotgun on a driveby in the hood. maybe take out a few more Giants fans.

i can see this working out.

Can we please drop this murder stuff....

    From wikipeida

According to ESPN legal analyst, Alan J. Baverman, "as to Ray Lewis, there is no evidence that he assisted anybody in a stabbing or encouraged anybody to do a stabbing which would make him a party to felony murder, malice murder, or felony assault with a knife

    It continues....

in exchange for him testifying against Oakley and Sweeting. Lewis accepted the plea bargain and was sentenced to one year of probation. He was not suspended by the NFL but was fined US$250,000, a league record at the time.

Oakley and Sweeting were acquitted of the charges in June 2000. No other suspects have ever been arrested for the crime.

The 2 victims were stabbed not shot from a car as was previously posted

"It matters to me. I don't want any part of Ray Lewis on this team. Just because for whatever reason ESPN fails to bring up that "incident" where two guys got murdered by Ray's posse from Ray's limo and got off because Ray wouldn't give them up even though he did help them dispose of their bloody clothes."

You haven't heard a peep from this guy since when it comes to off the field issues. Nobody knows what happened that night except a very few select people. The guy was not found guilty of murder and in this country that means he is inocent regardless of what you think of the legal system or him.

I would love to have Ray on this team even at his age he is still one of the best MLB'S in the game. Did anyone see the hit when he broke Mendenhall's shoulder ? Anyway 1 he can still play at a high level 2 He could teach the guys Rex's D from a players view 3 You will find no better leader in the game the guy has heart & he gets the guys around him up to play

Baaah. U beat me to it.

Ray Lewis wasn't involved in torturing or killing dogs so a couple of bodies found in the Long Island Sound or the Jersey swamp wouldn't be a big deal to me. Besides, this state is running rampant with assholes. If he can come and clean up a couple of corners, we kill two birds with one stone. Get it? Kill? Bahahaha...okay, I'm done.

Can somebody tell me who exactly is going to pay Ray Lewis? It sure the hell won't be the "Teetering on the brink of cap purgatory" NY Jets.

On a side note, I love how self ritious people like to be when it's convenient. You hate Ray cause he was accused of murder. You hate Vick cause he killed dogs. Who cares? Honestly. Mel Gibson hates Jews, does that mean you're boycotting his movies? Jason Kidd likes to dot his wife's eyes, you hate him too? How about Joe Nameth being a retarded drunk on national television, we putting him on the do not like list? Are you a sports fan or moral police? I'd go out on a limb and say 80% of all pro athletes are either assholes, scumbags, drug addicts, wife beaters, alcoholics, criminals or all of the above. Quit trying to pick and choose who's worthy and who isn't, it's not your place.

I don't hate Michael Vick only because he killed dogs. He just seems like a no-account piece of shit. I thought that before the dog thing ever happened. Plus... he's a fucking shitty quarterback.
