Not sure what you mean by that. Williams is a top prospect because he is a great pass-rusher and is stout against the run.
TE advocates: Do you think we have a good team? If not, why take a tight end? It's the 2nd least important position on an NFL offense or defense.
yeah, thats why almost all his sacks came against crappy o-lines and got shutout by other mediocre o-lines...
I wouldn't be disappointed with any of them actually, but if I was forced to pick, I would say either Vernon Davis or Jay Cutler simply because I don't think they're valued at #4 overall.
Matt Leinart-He just seems a little clumsy back there. Kind of reminds me of Bledsoe with a weaker arm
kind of a blanket statement don't you think? Alot depends on the system and personell of the team. What do you think the subtraction of a guy like Antonio Gates would do to the SD passing game?
TE's are very important especially in a Bill Belichick, Parcells system and one that will be adopted by Mangini. How quickly we forget... Look at that TE in Dallas...Pretty good and pretty important last I checked How about Ben Coates...Amazing was he Bavaro And the ones in New England are pretty good. There WRs are good, but not great.... I think that has been the formula on offense... Hell besides this year, did Belichick or Parcells ever have a top WR as far as stats are concerned? NO Parcells has T.O. and I doubt very seriously he wanted him...
I didn't say Vince Young because I don't even consider that a possibility. I said Brick because there is a very good chance that we draft a player who plays the same position as the one good young player we ALREADY HAVE on the O-line.
Cutler, D'Brick, and Young...all in that order... why is everyone against drafting Vernon Davis???...when he turns into a more athletic Shannon Sharpe for another team, you will all be mad that we passed on him...I don't care how many TE's are on our roster...they all suck anyway...this guy is going to be special
