Because they would lose the same way the Cardinals did... game all but over, they somehow manage to screw it all up, let the other team drive down the field and score. If the Jets made the Super Bowl, this is exactly how they would lose. I don't think I could take it.

no shit. I mean seriously. Sometimes, even if your team fucks up, the other team sometimes fucks up worse, or they literally hand you the game. Better to at least have a chance than never ever get there....
Besides the Jets can't be stopped once they get to the SB, they are undefeated playing in the SB. It's getting to the SB that is the problem.
All I know is...my father is a steelers fan and he has now seen 6 sb wins and 7 sb appearances in his lifetime. He's a big fan but is nowhere as passionate as me...and I have yet to even see ONE lousy appearance nevermind a win.I'll take my chances w/ just getting there for a change.

If it's any consolation, I think the Cardinals' safety Francisco was a camp casualty for the Jets during the Herm reign. So, his getting smoked in the last two minutes could be construed as getting the bad Jet vibe out of the Super Bowl mojo. Hey, gotta look on the bright side.
