Fuck him. I can't wait for the first time some coach makes a bad call in terms of clock management and Herm gives his advice. Like he would know how to manage the clock. Douche.
I really hope he replaces Cris Carter. Please, if you're up there in the sky and you can hear everything being said down here on land...please Superman, please let him replace Cris Carter.
Oh happy joy day. I can't wait to see Herm analyze and critique other coaches' decisions. It reminds me of Thanksgiving Day, when they had the recently fired Mat Millen on during the pre/post-game and halftime shows. Now there's a guy with some credibility HAHA. "...I'm not callin Michael Vick a chicken, I'm just sayin...it's like chasin a chicken..."
Actually, broadcasting could be a good niche for him. He has a great personality; he can't coach worth a damn, but I think analyzing football on TV would be good for him. Let's say Favre comes back next year and starts throwing some of the mega-bonehead interceptions that essentially contributed a great deal to our collapse in December; what do you think Herm will have to say about that; because now, if there was any ill-will in the breakup with the Jets it will come out in other ways on the air. I also, wonder if he will have major difficulty following the teleprompter clock and finishing his statements before they have to break for a commercial.
Millen was actually a very quality analyst on Fox for a number of years. His disastrous gig with the Lions has soiled his reputation, but he has a very good knowledge of the actual game itself. He lacks in the player personnel aspect, for sure.
I hear you. But I've been a fan of Inside the NFL when it was on HBO for a long time, so this is hate brewing from those years. But Emmitt is a close second.
The prefect job for herm. In all his time as a head coach the best work he did was talking to the press. I am looking forward to it
He has no sense of time. He be dancing and one of those good looking partners would leap for him to catch her and he'd be thinking about the time he said,"It's OK to punt", and she would fall on her face.
