Lets say the Ravens win and St Louis steps up their offer and takes Rex, and Spags doesn't step down from his "full authority" request, and B. schott leaves because he has been so snubbed throughout this process... What are we left with?
What are we left with? Endless, senseless, mind-boggling, speculative threads like this one. God I hate this time of year.
That wouldn't happen. If for whatever reason we don't land Rex or Spags, Schotty would take the job in a heartbeat.
But what if he's gone? What if he stubs his toe in the shower, it gets infected and he dies of pnuemonia in the podiatrists office? What if a fucking flying saucer lands on Tannenbaum's house the night before the contract gets signed? And Tannenbaum gets snatched up and can't get the deal done? What if any of those things happen? You can't just say "That wouldn't happen." We need to discuss all the endless, mind-blowing, nonsensical possibilitlies, no matter how fucking assinine!
I'm more concerned with what we'll do if the Ravens win and Rex is hit by a meteor while in Tampa, the Rams get Spags, Mike Shannahan decides to open a sewer treatment facility in India instead of ever coaching again, Bill Cowher gets sucked into playing World of Warcraft, divorces his wife and locks himself in his room to play, never to emerge again, Jeff Jagodzinski kills the BC AD, and B. Schott get busted for showing up to some 18 years old's house who is claiming she is 15 and made the sweet tea herself... Then what will we do?!?

You're right... At that point, we obviously have to bring back Herm. We need to bring back Vilma too because he's a solid tackler and he's had the most success here. Then we make a run at TO and Pac Man! Then we're on our way to the Super Bowl baby!!!
but what if Herm, after signing the contract, has a stroke but refuses to take a medical leave of absence and demands to coach from the sidelines despite the fact that he can't talk or communicate quick enough to get plays in? will TO be on his best behavior in such a scenario? will Pacman respond to Herm's positivity communicated through his Stephen Hawking's voice computer? and most importantly, will Vilma ever get a sack?

Now you're being ridiculous. Vilma getting a sack is outside the realm of possibility. But all the other things.... absolutely. In fact, we need to start separate threads on them to discuss all the possibilities of the possibilities.
