Percy Harvin If we want a receiver without having to trade up for one, why not consider Harvin. Guy is lightning quick, can play halfback and be a deep threat. Him and Leon on the field at the same time would be ridiculous!
Crabtree is one of the 6 or so guys who can hold his stock as an elite prospect. We'd have to give an arm and a leg for him, and I don't think it's worth it. I'd rather trade up for a pass rusher or QB than a WR. Not a fault of Crabtree's...just preference.
I definitely agree with JetsLookingFordware, if we trade up to take Crabtree, which would cost an absolute ton, it would not give us a pass rush, shut down corner, or franchise QB, and with the other picks we would have to give up, we would not be able to address those other needs, I'm not a big fan of trading up in this draft.
Guys I fully expect that in round 1 we will be drafting defense, someone who will fit who ever's system it is that we bring in as a HC. If it is Rex Ryan it could be a safety such as Taylor Mays, or a linebacker Rey Maluaga or Brandon Spikes. Heck I would be surprised to see us draft offense (unless a top QB falls to us at 17, say Stafford?) until round 3.
He sucks don't draft him all he will be like is Brett Farve SUCKY You can get way better get C J Spiller Or James Davis
Gotta love new guys... 1. It's Favre. 2. If you are serious about Spiller and Davis being better pro prospects than Michael Crabtree, then please...step out of the draft forum.
Trading up for Crabtree would be a joke. He has BUST written all over him. wait and see him pull a dwayne 4.6/4.7 jarrett at the combine. I actually like Davis as an RB in the league. I would never spend a 1st or 2nd on him however a 3rd or 4th would be great value IMO.
