If the Jets went defunct, moved, or went bankrupt etc. What team would be your new team? I think everyone has a "second" team they root for when the Jets are not playing or when they have those dark days and we begin to consider finally giving up on the SOJ... My team - Chicago Bears....I know, I know, not much better than our present situation...
it really depends on players, jets are my team, and i like players like AP so now i like the vikes but really you can only have one team
Giants would be new #1 Team in NFL, currently #2 and NFC team. The Titans or Bills would be new AFC team if Jets went under.
Wow you know whats really funny? I'm on the phone with my best friend and I asked him like 20 minutes ago if his team went bankrupt what team would he root for... That's funny that you made this thread. My answer would be the Steelers. They remind me of us in every way except they actually win and they dont get new coaches every valentines day.
steelers within the next 2 minutes.... that franchise represents everything I stand for. I am a Jet fan because I am from NY, not PIT.
Cardinals from the Roy Green days to Anquan Boldin, I've always liked the team couldn't go with another AFC team because I've had to dislike them all due to competition with the Jets for playoff spots I also like the Saints, but I haven't always stayed a fan (I rooted against them in 1991 playoffs). Addendum: There have been only two NFL teams I have ever dreamed about- the Jets and Cardinals. Do not worry- I wasn't naked in any of them. In 2003 I had several about the two teams. In one, I was hanging out with Cardinals WR Kevin Kasper. In another, I was standing on the Busch Stadium sidelines with Bill Bidwill before a game. Bidwill eventually said to me, "I'm going to call off the game. There's no way we'll win." (Note: this dream occurred in 2003, yet the Cardinals had moved out of St. Louis after the 1987 season.) In another one, the Jets lured Stump Mitchell out of retirement to be the understudy to Curtis Martin (Mitchell was 44 years old at the time. He had retired from the Cardinals after the 1989 season. I was aware of this while dreaming and saw a newspaper headline in the dream- "Jets Sign 44-Year Old Mitchell To Backup Martin").
Oakland Raiders. Too bad the pussies who run the NFL no longer allow teams to play like the Raiders did in the late '60s and early '70s. The way games are called today, these guys would have gotten a 15 yard penalty on every play. That's what happens when you live in a bullshit politically correct society...everything turns to garbage...
Probably The Patriots or The Dolphins. HA! Just kidding. Lucky for me, my 2nd favorite team is The Steelers. So it wouldn't really be THAT heart wrenching...Alright maybe it would. But I wouldn't be a Steelers fan because they're a winning team. They just play the type of smash mouth football I love to watch, not to mention, alot of other teams have an air of snoodiness about them that you don't get from The Steelers or their fans, they're just down to Earth gritty people, like us Jets fans. I'm mainly a Jets fan because I'm from Queens, and because my grandfather got me into them, it hasn't been 'till the past few years that I've followed them hardcore.
Screw you dude. If the Jets went south? I'd go with them. I am already so close to giving up on the NFL that I am not sure how much longer I can be a Jets fan! And as far as rooting for another gang of NFL thugs??? Well, let me think about that... With Pac Man, Plaxico, and the rest of the clowns... Well, let's just say that I am glad that the Jets braintrust placed a high premium on character issues. And there's no F'N way I'd root for another Bunch of Idiots.
is this a serious thread, i guarantee no other fan site has ever asked this question before, this is straight dumb, stop going that far in the dumps to start wondering what other teams you might like
