We're interviewing everybody under the sun. Let's hope we get this settled before long.

Let's hope not -- Because the Ravens and G men are going to the Big dance and if we settle this soon then the coach isn't Spags or Ryan.

Rex scares owners and Gms because he is like his dad, which is not much different than a Bill Parcells or Jimmy Johnson.

Rex would shake up the team and no one would be safe. Fear is said to be a bad motivator, but that is wrong.

Fear is a great motivator, but it's motivation only lats a short time, so a good coach re-instills new fear everyday by pushing buttons, calling out and even benching players, whether backup or star. When players are pushed or fighting for their job they will either raise their play or show their true colors.

Rex would do what Pete Carroll should have done and would have if he had only known he had one year to turn things around. Their way a lot of changes Pete wanted and players he didn't, but he also didn't want to shake things up to bad, his mistake!

What a complete fucking disgrace this would be, if this pussy ass organization hires his sorry ass to be HC.

With so many other candidates that are MORE qualified IMHO, if we give the job to Schotty, it will be an utter embarrassment.

As long as the Ravens are still alive in the playoffs...Rex can't be offered the job.

Well, McDaniels was just announced as the new head coach for the Broncos. I guess that means that Spags SHOULD be named head coach of the Jets unless the Ryan interview went really well.

Well I think that firing Mangini this season was a huge mistake and the reason is cause there aren't talented coaches or that many available to hire going into this offseason so now the jets will have to settle for anyone who comes there way.

the talent is there - the question is if the jets are willing to go for the cream of the crop.

i'd say that between guys like jim schwartz, rex ryan, jim harbough, josh mcdaniels, leslie frazier - not to mention the fact that mike shanahan and bill cowher are at least out there, if not wholly receptive to offers - and others the coaching pool is at least as good if not better than most years.
