I use to believe GH was a bust, but now that I think of it he won't. he will be starting next season defiantly and beat the shit out of his competition. Bryan Thomas will be a back up next season. guaranteed

 

Neither player is worth $40 let alone their jersey. I know, he ran for over 1k yards, but trust me, teams were planning for some other guy(s) before Jones.

only thing that pisses me off is that they offer no nyj jerseys...right now they have favre home away titans and practice jersey, then 2 gholstons and 1 d'brick...however right now the d'brick is only 25 bucks shipped so thats a pretty sweet deal

 

If the price were $3.19, I'd consider it IF the jersey were discounted another 10%.

Mangini misused the guy all season long. Slow and weak were not issues. This guy was a natural pass rusher and a good one at that in college. Mangini never used him effectively and efficiently. They could have had defenses where he lined up as a DE or an outside stand up LB. I know the game of football. You dont draft a guy overall #6 and then sit him or deactivate him.
Mangini pulled similiar bullshit with Vilma. Who I hope we re-sign.

Gholston will be fine and all the bashers will run and hide same guys who supported Chad Pennington and Eric Mangini.

I would LOVE to be wrong on this one. But I have a suspicion I'm not. Slow and weak was absolutely the problem. Did you ever watch him in games? Mind you, he was deactivated for only 1 game. He played in every other game. During the Bengals game, he played just about an entire half. I watched him on every play. He couldn't sniff the QB because he was slow as shit and getting held up by guards, tackles, tight ends and running backs. If you think a LB doesn't need to have the speed to get into the backfield or the strength to blow past a 3rd string RB, then maybe we're watching different games.

 

What were his coverage assignments during the game you watched him. Do you have access to that information. If Mangini/Sutton didnt have him in a pass coverage or blitzing the QB. Funny how many judge but yet are clueless to the important aspects of the game. Gholston cannot decide on his own what he does on the field if hes being told to do something else. Give the guy a break. He will be fine watch and see.
