How can you conduct an interview when you don't know football?

The Giants were an organization in the crapper before the league basically gave them George Young as the GM who than assembled the staff and handled the drafts.

I agree with the premise of this thread and I think if Woody had any sense he would ask the league for help and get a top GM in first. Tannenbaum should be retained as executive VP but not as the GM.

I've heard a couple of interviews with him during the last two seasons, and he never struck me as inarticulate. So we can agree to disagree on that.

Now on the other hand, if being articulate is a prerequisite for a job, Caroline Kennedy uh, you know, like, uh, you know, what she has, you know, done, uh with her family name, you know, is uh, you know, significant...

It's called having an opinion. That's what this board is for, isn't it?

Hey, I think Herm Edwards is a shitty coach. Do I think I know more about football than him, no. Do I think I could call a better game on Sundays, probably.

Pace was doing great before Harris got hurt and Mangini tried to rewrite the defensive schemes.

Yeah, that's why i had question marks by these guys names. he was certainly inconsistent, and I'm sure a lot of the defense sagged when jenkins got nicked up. But overall, it was not a bad injury season for the team, and that is not a usable excuse to explain the end of season collapse.

An opinion is fine, except people sometimes have a habit of trying to force their opinions on other people as fact. Also, I see too much of "they're clueless", "they're idiots", etc. instead of "I think they should do..." or "I think they should hire...". That's not what we're getting. We're getting "our owner and GM suck and should sell the team because they didn't get...".

And Herm is a really bad example because I think a comatose hospital patient could call a better game than Herm

I have full confidence in Tannenbaum. The last 3 years have been the best 3 drafts in a row and that's his call. Woody is only involved becuase of the bashing because he took a vacation. He will get the final say, but Tanny will make the recommendation. His track has been great with talent and don't tell me about Gholston because its about the overall draft and I am not ready to call him a bust. Keep on piling Jet fans. Maybe you guys should find another team because Woody and Tannenbaum are going to be around for a long, long time and I am glad
