The last QB to come out of an Urban Meyer offense to the NFL was Alex Smith... 'Nuff Said.

Plus, as a student at Vanderbilt (yeah we suck at football, but we play Tebow once a year), I've seen what Tebow can do. Sure, he can run the ball well and play the spread well, but he is not built to be an NFL QB. He doesn't have a strong or accurate arm, and his first instinct is to run when his first read is covered, rather than to go to his second read.

He should play H-Back in the NFL, the Chris Cooley role. Sometimes a TE, sometimes a FB, getting handoffs and catching balls in the flats. He should get drafted no earlier than the 3rd round, maybe not even in the first day.

You all have another year to watch him play college ball to make your call. He's not leaving this year, Championship win or not.

did tebow say he was coming out this yr.? I might have missed it. I doubt he will be leaving florida this yr even if he wins the national title simply because his future is not going to be as bright in the NFL might as well stay in college and be the top dog, snag another heismann

He has contacted a commite to investigate where he might be drafted if he did come out. So no he has not declared and I doubt he will. If I had to guess 3rd round would be about as high as he could go and I could easily see him falling to the late rounds. Mostly due to the limitations several have pointed out already. Shoddy footwork, ugly and somewhat slow release, and a below average arm.

He could be a good QB, but the deck is stacked against that. He's a smart football player, but I think his tools that make him good in the flordia offense will not translate well to the NFL game.

Honest question, when was the last time a U Fla qb became a solid NFL QB? I'm not hating here, just don't think too many work out.

I just think he's a bust in waiting

A better question - name 10 U F players at any position who did anything in the NFL? Remember when da old ball coach tried to gather up all of the garbage he injected into the league over the years and turn it into the Washington Redskins? I think he cut them after a season.

Tebow's an athlete, that's for sure. Florida's offensive system certainly caters to that, but the guy is unbelievable.

    It might sell PSL's?

For that reason alone, he'd be worth a 3rd rounder to Woody. Personally, I'd stay away from Tebow because of that long-striding throwing motion. It looks like he's throwing a discus more than a football. It actually reminds more of Leftwich than Brees. He's a developmental player, for sure, and isn't worth more than a 6th.

Haha Tebow will not be that good of an NFL QB in my eyes so far, his release is far too slow, he does have an arm, but if he works on his mechanics and has a great coordinator he could be a decent QB

If we loose to Tim "God Haunted" Teblow tonight, I'll be devoting the rest of the season to Skyrim and Mead.
