Rex Grossman? He cant even beat out Kyle Orton for a starting job. I could buy Anderson but not Grossman.

I like Tebow. I think he gets a bad rap because he runs a lot in College and plays in Meyers system. He doesnt have a strong arm but he is a very accurate passer and doesnt turn the ball over.

Get rid of Barton and Nugent. Feely is good, we sign him up for another 5 years. Asomugha is waste of cap space, we don't need another lockdown CB when we have Revis.

The Jets I believe are about 7 million over the salary cap. They have to get under the cap first before they can even think about bringing in one let alone both of those guys.

I like Ray Lewis. I think he would bring fire to this defense and would help give us an identity similar to what Joey Porter has done with the Dolphins. But both guys are probably long shots at best to come here.

There are a lot of teams out there in better Salary cap posistion (Pats to name one) that need a corner who are going to be coveting Asomugha.

I'd say your a lttle early for this. We need to wait until he's old and washed up. Then we'll release Revis, and Washington, to get under the cap, and sign Manning.

Ever heard of the salary cap? With all the money they spent last year they must be close or over it.

if i added the numbers correctly the jets have around 27 million less payroll for the upcoming year right before any signing..so that would leave us just about 23 mil to spend?

Its easy to move around money in the NFL. You can always rework peoples deals and spread out the money you owe them. I wouldnt worry about any guys we draft. They will all be locked up.

The Jets should have some money to spend this off season but there just not going to be able to go wild on Free Agents or anything like that. But building through the draft is a good thing and Tannenbaum has done a pretty good job so far since he has been the GM.
