Well since most of us are still trying not to throw up everytime they think about this last year of Jets football, I thought it would be good to hear some positive feedback. I thought that Dustin Keller was a a sign of good things to come and it is nice to have a threat like that at TE. I know he faded away a little towards the end and even had a couple drops here and there but I was still impressed in general. Hopefully next year will be a huge year for him. Also I think that he being such a threat helps out our WR to get open which isn't exactly what they have been good at lately. It also says something for tanny, when he moves up in the draft for somone he usually knows what he is talking about..it was a move I never saw them doing and I am glad they did. Hopefully we do even better in this years draft. Anyway tell me what you thought of our brand new Tight End.

I saw great catches he made, mid season, him and Favre were an unstoppable team.

i thought keller was awesome. i felt like when the jets were on the winning streak keller was havin 6 or 7 catches a game. then all of the sudden he disappears and we started losing. i think he will be huge next year!

Keller is and will be a mismatch nightmare for a years. As he grows as a player he'll get more dangerous.

A lot of his catches were 1st down conversions on 3rd down. Having a big surehanded guy over the middle is huge, especially for an unexperienced QB.

I agree he should more utilized as slot WR or a TE that releases in some offensive schemes. Bubba Franks is a goner and Chris Baker needs to improve drastically.

He was good up untill teams started remembering him and covering him more exclusively. Then he vanished from sight and was part of Favre's downfall. He made a good amount of nice catches this season and also had a good amount of dropped passes and Drive Killers.

Keller had a phenomenal rookie year. (Thank goodness one of our first rounders did!) Keller will be a major target for us over the next several years. He can easily be our version of Antonio Gates, he has that kind of ability to create a mismatch on him.

Keller was a good player until Mangini tried to play Super Coach with him and tell him that a single dropped pass in the first quarter will lose the game.

Keller should be a very good player for us for years to come. He is going to create a lot of favorable matchups. Hopefully we can get a tall WR to give him some help.

Keller looked good at times and bad at time through the year. I see a bright future ahead for the kid.

I'm excited about Keller. Nice to have a recieving TE who can actually run.

That's more related to the lack of imagination with Keller's receiving route. Because he usually gets a physical advantage against the secondaries, Jets Offense usually featured him either posting up, or the ball going up top. Like I said, there are more than just those two routes in short passing game. If anything, I have NEVER seen the WR on any other route than quick slant, and Keller on a hitch (or go on a seam) What happened to drags? Or quick outs? How about some of the zigs? If the defense is covering man to man, drags or quick outs will be very effective, whereas zone defense will get torched with zigs. Did Jets Offense utilize any? I've seen the Jets passing defense torched by those, but never have I seen the Jets offense using any of them.
