No secret that we are going to be in a cap hell this season, so lets see if we can predict what players will get the boot...

    Barret for sure...
Baker?... he hasn't really done anything special... at all...
Ty Law.... bubye... seems like this guy is just bad luck for us
    E. Smith... Elam?.. I really hope we draft a good safety to complement Rhodes. I say get rid of Smith and keep Elam as backup.
    T. Richardson? I really hope we keep him... I think he did a fantastic job and was a huge reason for T. Jones's success.
    D. Coleman.. he should go.. the guy sucks.

    Any more obvious ones?

Barretts gone , Law out , Erik Smith gone. Elam we should keep. T. Rich get em for another season and Coleman is terrible. Barton could be gone but i would keep him around another year.

Law, Smith, D Coleman, and Barrett should be disposed of from the secondary. Major upgrades are needed there.

It's my opinion that only one ILB should be retained... Obviously both are bad in coverage so one of them should be upgraded. Harris is way younger with a ton of potential and Barton is a FA so bye bye Eric.

Franks, Baker, and B Smith all seem pretty useless at this point to me.

I think Clemens will be cut and they'll retain Ratliff as the #2. Just saying.

Oh good call, forgot about Franks. Never figured out why he took up a roster spot.

Feeley is probably gone as well... too much invested in Nuge, even though I think Feeley did fine.

I doubt it, but I hope so. I've seen enough of Clemens, I want to see what Ratlif can do.

We're estimated about $2 million over the cap for '09, hardly "cap hell". A couple of cuts and restructures and we'll be in good shape. Tanny knows what he's doing.

Please illustrate to me your knowledge of the cap and how we will 'obviously' be in cap hell. Details, please.

They gotta try and trade Clemens. They can't let another QB go, and get no compensation.

Stooge will be a free agent this year...no cuts necessary.

We can start with a new punter, Ty Law, Kenyon Coleman, Barrett, Smith, Coles ( send to him Miami) and Baker

Baker is expendable, Smith needs to go, Ty Law, Nugent, would try and trade Coles if possible, cut or trade Clemens. Don't jump on me for this, but do we need Brad Smith? Barton is a FA as well, Justin Miller is also a FA. I think we need to re-sign Richardson. Is Ratliff a FA this off-season?

David Barrret, Drew Coleman, Kenyon Coleman, Sione Pouha, Eric Smith, Eric Barton, Chris Baker or Bubba Franks IMO should all be given walking papers. I think a serious look should be taken at coles as well, and im one of his biggest fans (starting when he was at our alma matter).

Coles?!?! No way..They just extended him.

As far as the cap goes, that "projected" number includes Favre. No Favre no cap problem.

    No extension...just a guarantee.

With one year left, he is definitely a candidate for trade bait, unless Burt stays.
