    If this story is true, Cutler already being in place in Denver would really appeal to Cowher. Shanahan's firing would really change things.

    I think they are the first team since 92 or 93 to lose a 3 game lead in a division in the final 3 weeks. Maybe if Tampa Bay fires Chucky we will go for his 0-4 December ass as well...

    So they did can him?

    He's probably the best pure game caller out there and he has a better resume then any of the other mentions.

    Really only belicheat's is more impressive then his in the entire league.

    Not sure if this story is true but

    Any Jets fan who doesn't want Mike Shanahan is a braindead moron who shouldn't be allowed to take another breath...seriously.

    Shanahan is much better than Cowher.

    Mike Shanahan has had 7 seasons of 10 plus wins and 2 Super Bowls

    but why would we want that? He's just a Hall of Fame coach.

    I can't believe he isn't getting better consideration around here, especially with his record against Belichek.

    The last few seasons haven't been his best but in my opinion that is due to him grooming the next franchise QB for the Broncos. Career 61 win % in 13 seasons as Denver head coach.

    I'll take Shanahan over Marty ball any day and yes that is what its coming down to......

    you're asking a board where a very vocal contingent is upset about firing Mangini, yet at the same time blasting the owner for being more interested in selling tickets than winning. there is your answer.

    Shanahan sucks. He hasnt won a playoff game in about as long as the Jets have won a SB.

    He's done a real bang up job without Elway...Riiiiiiiiighttttt.

    After the shit that shanahan pulled against the game that we played against denver this season I don't want that dirtbag on this team no matter how improved he'd make us.

    Shanahan did nothing without Elway. We don't have Elway, we have Vinny Testa... I mean Brett Favre.
