    Let me first say, he wouldn't be my first choice, but, I think right now if we bring Favre back, he'd be our best fit.

    Think about it...he's played with him in the past. They've been successful together. If Favre indeed comes back, and it sounds like Tanny and Woody want him to, I think you call up Holmgren and tell him that we want to win a SB now, and convince him to coach for a year or 2.

    If it fails move on and rebuild...but if not...I can die happy.

    BUT, if Favre does not come back, throw all of this out da window.

    I think Holmgren has made it pretty clear he's taking the year off.

    ... is retiring
    ... is tired
    ... is not a long term plan (and neither is Cowher)

    I believe Holmgren promised his wife he wouldn't coach next year... so basically that means he is not an option.
