Penny was the master of the dink and dunk, eh?
That last interception by Favre was killer. Absolute killer.

I have been watching Farve since the beginning. I admit CP did a hell of a job and I would place him, Rivers and Manning in the same boat behind Brees this year. Farve was not the same after week 12. It will be interesting if an injury crops up.

That said, No way is CP in the same league career wise with #4. For 16 years and 13 games #4 always showed up to play. Lets compare CP with BF's stats when his career is over.

My feeling is the Jets will release Favre and Minnesota or the damn Bears will be seeking his services.

im talking about this season, did Brett get any of those previous stats with the jets?

Chad had way better numbers this year, more wins, and the playoffs, o yeah and he beat the jets in the clutch,

Idk even know what were argueing about anymore, Brett is clearly done and he absoulutely KILLED us these last 5 weeks. Even with a below average qb we would be in the playoffs, with chad we would in the mix for a first round bye

Yes they did but the fish did not have to mqake one trip to the west coast (Jets 4) Lets not forget that bullshit when they got to play in a dome in toronto instead of having to play in snow and cold ass wind in buffalo. This gave them a total advantage.

Because you have only this season to see CP better than Brett. I admit his missing offseason preparation caused that huge meltdown. Know what ?, Chad is happy to be out of here. May be, the Jets CS coached him down, and now with good gameplanning according to his strengts he has a career year. BF had none of these stats with the jets, true, and Chad has his career year with the fish.

IF,IF,IF...woulda, shoulda, coulda does not help. And one season does not reflect a players career...

Good post, but dont you think that mangina is the most responsible for wanting Pennington gone and bringing in Favre? If Mangina wanted to stick with him as his QB he'd probably still be here.

it is no coincidence that the fart who is the HC dumped three Jet captains since he's been here, for various reasons.

I rarely kvetch about personnel moves- i just root for whoever is on the team. I rooted for chad when he was here, I rooted for Favre when he was here, and I'll root for Ratliffe if he is the QB next year.

But before you go on about the QB position, it still comes down to the HC having the guys he wants on the team, and the FO going out and getting them. They decided to roll the dice with Favre and crapped out, while Chad got a new lease on his career in Miami.

One playoff game in three years= Fail.

Favre (it is finally acknowledged) was hurt for quite a while, but no, that does not change the simple fact that Pennington was better than Favre this year. There it is, OP. If that makes you feel better, you know have what you crave.

Guys like you appear to almost take glee out of being the "luckless loser" of the NFL. You even pick your username to be a putdown of the team you claim to supposedly be a fan of.

    Bizarre.

    Whatever.

Congrats, you got your "wish," SameOldJets2008. I'll never understand this though.

    FAVRE IS FULL OF SH*T!!!!

If he was so damn hurt, why did we hardly run the ball???

I know, I know the coaches made him throw 22 picks and a 40 QB rating the last 5 reeks of the season.

Why did they throw so much?? because the team plays scared...they fall behind and they panic....3rd an 1 - shotgun ?? what the hell did we spend all that money on an O-Line for? Awful game planning, lousy adjustments when they fall behind.....did they win a game they trailed in once this year?

Agree. They prefer it that way. Even when they were 8-3, they were panicking. CP is better this year, b/c his coaches adjusted a fine gamplan to him and his offense.

Do I need to quote your own words to you? I guess so. You asked (and I quoted) "If he was so damn hurt, why did we hardly run the ball???"

Let me try again, except this time to help you out I'll be more explicit, and instead of saying "I wasn't aware that Brett Favre calls the plays" I''ll say "I wasn't aware that Brett Favre decides whether each play is a pass or a run."

Does that help? Or do I just get another "duh" back from you again?

You do know that quarterbacks have radios in their helmets, and there are offensive coordinators and all that, right? Just checking.

How did Favre do w/ that easy sched playing w/ alot more talent? The sched excuse doesn't work when we essentially play the same sched.

Man you are dense, so I guess Ii will have to be more explicit for your dumb ass.

If the BUM was so hurt why the hell did he not tell the offensive coordinators to call more running plays into his radio helmet, instead of throwing the ball 40 yards down the field to the other team.

    "DUH"
