Pittsburgh's defensive coordinator and the architect of their zone blitz would be a good fit for this 3-4 defense Mangini's stuck us with. At least this guy knows how to use it.

Dick is not a good NFL head coach.

He would be the equivelant of what Jauron has done in Buffalo...

    They are both Dick's.

That's an interesting pick, but wasn't he terrible as head coach in Cincy? Maybe it was more personnel issues, but still.

The man is seventy something years old. I'm not sure he's ready to give up a cushy job to take on more responsibility for a NY team. He's not looking to cut 10 years off his life.

    Rhetorical question time.

Did you like him when he was the Bengals head coach or do you only like him now as DC of the Steelers?

Furthermore, the man will be 72 years old next season.

He was with the Bengals...enough said. A cheap organization. Maybe's he too old, but some of these guys do better the second time around. They learn from their mistakes.

All in all, I prefer the 4-3 anyway. I wouldn't worry about retooling this front 7, it's shit from stem to stern anyway.

I've also liked LeBeau. He was given a raw deal in Cincy, like nearly everybody else. He is very old, though.

Well, why not Buddy Ryan? Is he still walking the earth? If so, interview him dammit! Or what about Ditka?

Dick Lebeau is too old, if you want a Defensive coordinator turned coach go with Spagnolo, young and soaked up the mind of Jim Johnson

If Buddy Ryan were hired we could get Kevin Gillbride as OC / Assistant Head Coach :).

I saw Bum Phillips at a game a couple weeks ago. He's a fine candidate, methinks.

If Milt Plum's still around he could be brought aboard as Favre's replacement. Then sign Cliff Branch, Greg Buttle, and Hanford Dixon and the Jets will be set to dominate.

He's a dick too. By the way, is he still the clock manager / personal masseuse for Herm?
