I see some people complaining about our wrs. Go get Boldin go get Tj housedadada how ever its spelt. Dream on.. We have plenty of guys to throw to. Coles, Cotchery, Stuckey, Clowney, Keller. You all know who they are. Coles is good and has 2 years left, Cotchery has what 4 solid years left. Stuckeys 1st year back, Clowney looked good in preseaon and his 1 pass that was thrown to him in his 1st start he grabbed with one hand and took off down field. Keller is a rookie that has come up with huge catches. Example: Patriot game. Oh wait he dropped a 3rd down weeks later. He sucks now. Brad Smith is a great wild cat type player.

You guys that want these wrs.. The game is not won by this position. It is won by PLAY CALLING! We dont run the ball enough or use the screen pass enough. COME on throw some screens to Leon at anytime that dude can turn the game around. Brett will WING a bomb out there to a double covered LC or Cotch and its a 2 on 1 fight for a ball thats over/under thrown or 10 yards to the left or right of the guy. I see guys complaing about these 3 plays. Last week that pass to LC. He had 2 men on him in the snow and he never had the ball in his hands it bounced around like a pin ball between him and defenders. Now COLES sucks??? NO. Cotchery Drops a wet ball that looked like it was shot out a cannon in the pouring cold rain in the Denver game.. ease up in the rain Brett. SO he sucks now? Keller had a 3rd down drop vs 49ers. HE sucks now. We forget how he basically beat New England for us. What we need is a new coaching staff. Our stupid coach sucks. Look at these play calls. I rather get 2-3 yards on to running plays then throw that short pass rather then lanch bombs on 3rd down with Bombs away Brett.

Mangini looks like a robot. HE has NO emotions on the side lines and players don't seem to even respect the guy. He lost control of the team. They look like they have no discipline. I wouldnt fear him either. Guys like Coughlin, Parcells and Belichek are feared not this fat baby face pussy. Example Smoke pot Shaun we wont do anything bout it so he throws a huge snowball 3 weeks later. The league fines him. What do the Jets do? They look like little kids on the play ground when mommy and daddy arent around. Bottom Line we need real coaches. Dump the chump...
SHOW COWHER THE MONEY!! HE will bite on it if Powder maker shows the money. Use the psl money.. Bill Cowher is just the guy we need to light that fire.. Dump the chump

Yep, you cant fire or change all the players, but you can change coaches if the team is underperforming.

There is a lack of focus, and concentration, and execution, that has led to drops, missed tackles, lack of aggression, not getting off blocks.

When I read some of the threads about needing this or needing that, I think some peole expect that a team of all-pros is needed for this team to be real good. Well, there are a group of players going to the pro-bowl, and most of this team is made up of players this regime wanted.

The excuses of not enough talent has to stop- a good CS maximizes the talent it has, and that is not the case with this CS.

WRs aren't that important. Look at the Cardinals - they have the best WR duo in the league and they are fizzling out at the worst time. Then look at the Titans. They have the best record in football and look very strong going into the playoffs. And yet they are putting McCareins on the field! Their top WR is Justin friggin Gage.

We need a top WR desperately, it is our biggest need on offense, well I guess besides Qb. Coles is finished not sure how you can say he has two years left with the way he has played this year. The play of Coles and Cotch has been a big disappointment this year.

I agree with you that the first thing to fix is our coaching staff, particularly our play calling. Having said that, our receivers do not get enought separation and do not demand double coverage. Coles is a good 2nd receiver and that is it. We could use a difference maker, but we need to fix the play calling first.

I'm also a believer of changing this coaching staff, more particularly the OC and DC. Mangini doesn't need to do much besides manage them, and make critical decisions on In Game situations.

It truely amazes me how Leon isn't getting more opportunities to take the screen pass for 30-60 yards. One of the things that he's notorius for.

Keller needs to be in 90% of the time, taking LB's out of the picture on the short passing plays.

There needs to be more PA. Teams SHOULD be scared to hell of this from us. We have the #1 RB in our entire conference, we should be the #1 team in effectiveness as far as the PA goes.

This coaching staff is making this entire team look like bums. It's sad.

Isn't is somewhat telling that Coles and Cotchery were 1000 receivers under Pennington and this year they are both struggling to break 800 yards? I don't think it is the Wrs that are the problem. Take a look at the QB and the OC first.

What ever happened to the intermediate pass? The Jets and Favre either throw the ball 3 yards or 40 yards. Where is 15 yard pass? Where is the pass to Keller in the seam? Where is the 10-15 yard out?

Most teams would be ecstatic to have Coles and Cotchery- there's a team down in Miami that is winning ballgames with Davone Bess, Ted Ginn, and Greg Camarillo (before he got injured). Other than maybe getting a tall red-zone target, I'm content rolling with what we have. WR is the least of the Jets concerns.

The QB is definitley a problem and Coles and Cotchery are good WR. But getting a tall WR that can stretch the field can only help this team. Coles is the guy who would have to go in order to add a guy like that IMO.

What the Jets need is a 6'6" WR with 4.2 speed.

Let me ask you WR lovers out there something - how many rings do Moss, Owens, Smith, Boldin, Fitzgerald, Housh, Johnson (85) own? Zippo. If you look at the past few SB winners, you will see that WRs are not the reason or even a key factor in winning the big prize. It might entertain some of you, but it doesn't win playoff games.

Plaxico Burress was a key part of the Giants Super Bowl win. The Pats didnt lose that SB because of Randy Moss. Owens is a different story because of his attitude and he still was in a SB and played very well. Housh isnt big, and Fitz and Boldin are young and finally on a team that is going to the playoffs. Until somebody can prove to me that those WR hurt your team I dont see why a team wouldnt want to add one.

Burress was hurt all of last year and made a TD catch in the SB that any receiver could have made. Plus, he's a big help to the Giants now, isn't he? My point is that there are other positions - almost every other position - that are far more important. The Giants won the SB by rushing the passer and pressuring Brady. They held the most potent offense in NFL history in check. That had nothing to do with Burress.

Agree with this. The Gmen are also known more for thier power running attack as opposed to a lights out passing game. We could really use a big WR, but not at the cost of filling other holes.

Burress commands double teams and it helps Eli Manning find his other receivers like Toomer, Smith, Hixon, and Boss. And when teams dont double team Burress he kills them like he did in the NFC Championship game.

I agree though the Jets do have more pressing needs then a tall WR. But if they can upgrade at this posistion as well it only helps them.

We have good WR's. But they are not great. We definitely need to upgrade Coles. As much of a Coles fan as I am he just hasn't been getting seperation. I would love to get Boldin but it's going to cost a lot. We may need to invest a No. 1 pick on a WR.

Has LC lost a step ? I could not watch many Jets Games here in Germany, but the WR's always had a DB at their feet.

IMO with our strong running game, more play action could help them to get open.

Clowney is fast enough, but was cut from Green Bay's practice squad. There must be a reason for that. He he should have a chance to show wehat he can do. That's playcalling then.

What other holes would you like to fill first?
