Mangini?s gotta stay, and here?s why.

    Its not the losing part that bothers me actually. Any team can beat any other team, who cares about that. The troubling part is that this team simply gave up...they quit and laid down and that is where the coaching comes in. When a team fails to respond to a challenge, leadership must be questioned. This team laid down, and thats a giant problem.

    I was never one of those 'fire the head coach' reactionists.

    Bottom line is this: Another year in a system and better coordinators will be good, YES.

    After the decisions he's made the last few games, last game ESPECIALLY, I would not trust him to do the right thing when it counted, better talent/coaches or not.

    If I am the owner, i look at the last game's decisions and I say 'Will this be the gut (It was supposed to be 'guy', but it was too perfect to edit out) to get us where we want to go in the next year or 2?' If the answer is no, he must go.

    The decisions he made last game would be excusable if he was still a rookie head coach. The decisions he made as a coach at the end of year 3 makes me believe that he is not our future.

    oakland, sd, seattle, sf. Nuff said, Mangini and the whole staff minus westoff need to go. PERIOD.
