At this point I think everybody would rather have Manny and all his baggage for a couple of years. The problem is that he is another Boras client so all of this will start all over again.

How long until we hear the BoSox have signed Teix? This sounds like a Boras leak if there ever was one. 8 years, $180 million bucks. What the hell did Boston offer him then?

I think that has a bit of truth to it, but honestly, this was more likely his plan all along. Get teams bidding against each other to jack up the price, then last minute, fly to NY and tell Steinbrenner and Cash that the BoSox are going to sign Teix, unless you top the offer.
Where? All it says is it's agreed upon. I don't doubt it'll be signed, but theres been so much misinformation in these negotiations, it's hard to tell.
