This is absolutely ridiculous that we find ourselves in this situation all over again. Lets go Bills!

In '02 we had 1 slip up but bounced right back. We have had 3 slip ups in 4 weeks against all teams we should have beaten. This team isn't half as good as that '02 team though it would be if we had the same QB we had in '02.

The '02 team had several slip ups. The first 7 games were slip ups.

We were beat up early, after we got it going we were consistent and we lost just 2 games in ouir last 9. We had the hiccup at Chicago but bounce back to whip the Pats in NE then thoroughly embarrassed that overrated guy named Brett Favre and his 12-3 packers.

I Hate this shit, We dont deserve to be in the playoffs and this whole season sad to say it was a waste and the Favre trade was a waste compared to Pennington who will probally go to the playoffs after he puts the nail in our coffin's next week. 2002 We started playing great and had so much fuckin momentum we deserved to go to the playoffs and we did but this year this team... Fuckin sucks.

I don't believe we would do much, if any better with Pennington at the helm... honestly. I love Penny, but our problem is with the OC at this point.

I don't want any miracles. If this somehow happens, arrogant prick Mangina will be back next season. I don't wanna see him here. Fire him! No other team will ever hire him... he has no business in the NFL.

Maybe firing him in the middle of the week will fire the team up? Give Favre the coaching and playing duty. He's more experienced than Mangini, and has obviously been a lot more successful!

Yes, as I said in the other thread, I think we got a bit of luck that year that went our way, and the CS was new and still had some mystery to what they were doing. Favre has looked horrible over the last 7 games or so. He's looked like bad Pennington. Maybe I'm wrong about it, but the playcalling seems to be hot and cold. Tenn we looked like genius' and then we give up some games that are head scratchers.

Manvagina is only good at chewing gum on the sideline. No emotion, no balls, no heart.

Yes, and it's not that much of a stretch despite the general sentiment of the board.

What were everybody's thoughts at this point in 2002?

Now 2002 was an even steeper climb. After the Bears disaster, we needed Miami to lose to Minnesota (they did on a 53 yard FG by Gary Anderson) we needed to beat NE...we did 30-17.

Then we needed either Cleveland to lose to Atlanta (WC possibility) or Miami lose to NE (Division Title) and we needed to beat a 12-3 Green Bay team playing for home field and a bye.

I remember watching the Cleveland game with despair as the Browns gutted it out and stopped Vick and the Falcons on the 1 to seal it. Miami up by 11 late in the game and it looked to be over. Then NE scored a TD, got the 2, got a 3 and out. Vinatieri sent the game in to OT and then won it on a ball that just made it over the upright.

bedlam! The stadium erupted! And the Jets just ran away with it at that point.

so, either lightning strikes twice or Chad and the fish get some divine retribution for 2002

god I hope it's not the latter

I have some faith in the Bills. They played well against us and they're a fast team. They beat a very well coached Broncos team playing for a division title today and will be ready to knock the hated Pats out of the playoffs. They'll be playing fast and loose. They could give NE's slow linebackers a lot of trouble. Plus they're at home and no cold weather advantage like NE had vs. Arizona.

and I suppose Jacksonville/Baltimore could go either way. Flacco is a rookie and can still lose a game all by himself. Jax played Indy tough.

I want a 4:15pm game. I want to know...are we energized to win the division or wild card, or are we energized to knock the fish out. I want it decided, no scoreboard watching!

My thoughts were it least we have a Franchise QB in Pennington and maybe the Pats will come through for us. Now all we got is a 39 year old has been named Brett Favre.
