I would like to see those, and many other old uni's come back next season. Including the 80's Jets uni's. They would have to use the black face mask though, the white one is just to timid.

Call me old school but I always felt like the Texans should have been called the Oilers.

The name "Oilers" had been officially retired by the NFL after the 1998 season.

I wish the Falcons would permanently go back to their 1980s uniforms. The red helmet, red jersey, and gray pants look was great. Ditto red helmet, white jersey, gray pants- much like the Georgia Bulldogs.
The Falcons current uniforms are too weird. The numbers aren't good and the weird lines here and there and the side panels- sheesh.

^that wouldn't be a bad idea. Same with the 49ers. I like the Montana 49ers uniforms better than the ones they have now.

Yeah mate. Too much gold and those shadows under the number are yuck. The old 49ers unis are some of my favourites.

I'd like to see the 80s uniforms as throwbacks. I kind of like the Titans throwbacks but the 80s ones seem like they'd make a lot more sense.

On a separate note, I don't think a team should be allowed to move cities and change its name and then still be allowed to claim its original history and all rights to its original name. That's just really lame.. the Oilers were so much cooler than the Titans. If Tennessee wants that flaming thing as their logo, that's fine, but they could at least give back the Oilers to Houston.

I'm surprised they're allowed to do that. It would be like the Ravens wearing Colts uni's. And knowing Ravens are the old Browns. Ok nevermind, I'm giving myself a headache.

As noted earlier in the thread, the name Oilers was retired by the league. The league made the announcement on 11/14/98 and it was to be effective when the 1998 Tennessee Oilers season came to a close.
