Favre has no quit in him. That's something that usually goes unrecognized. I'm skeptical now about this team, but hopefully they right the ship.
We can turn this around. We just need to stop playing like we're afraid to lose, because that's how you lose. Play like you want to win and you have nothing to lose. That's how they played the Pats and how they played the Titans. Underdogs. With a chip on their shoulder.
Thats funny, because Favre looked like he quit when it started raining and looked like he quit again when Keller dropped that 3rd and 2 pass.
Mostly fluff. I mean, what would you expect him to say "I really don't see us making the playoffs. Hell, we could back in but we'll be out in the 1st round if we make it at all." Of course he's going to say this. I want to see him find some open receivers and make some plays. I was thinking of putting money on this next game.
The whole team looked like they quit when it started raining. I'm of the opinion the gameplan cost us the last two games not Brett Favre.
So am I, In fact I think its quite obvious that was the case. I dont see how brett favre lost those games for us at all. In fact Im getting quite tired of that talk.
enough with the gloom guys not sure how continue to care or follow them team with such negativity i was as pissed as anyone time to sit back and realize the 2 seed was really never a reality and we still control the 3 seed we can win a home playoff and then wind up in one of two places pitt or tenn we already beat tenn and although pitt would be mighty feat they dont score enough to bury us and we have history of playing them well
Look. If any defense allows Shaun Hill and SF offense to hold the ball for 40 minutes, that team does not deserve to go to the post season. It just doesn't belong to the upper echelon. Ok?
I too am sick of people that say Favre cost us the game. Did Favre play well? Hell no. Did anyone? Hell no. Our pass rush/defense is just flat out pitiful. The thing I'm most upset at Favre for is not lighting a fire under the team's ass (Offense and Defense). He has always been able to get people to have fun out there and play their best. These last two games I haven't seen it from anyone aside from maybe TJ. No one is smiling, no one is having fun. And I'm not just talking about after they get down by a bunch. They don't look excited to play at any point in the game.
Favre is just doing what good leaders do: You don't give up, you keep fighting, and let things fall where they may. As he said, Despite the jets follies, they do still control their own destiny. They don't have to rely on others losing, just them winning. That is still a relief. This next game at home against buffalo would be a good time for Favre to show a little veteran luster and back his words up. People are starting to doubt him, due to age, recent poor weather performances, etc. Hey, who knows. Maybe it's Favre time. He'll do what he can to get us in, I just don't know if it will be enough.
The power of the curse is greater than the power of Favre. This team won't see the SB until the devil collects Namath's soul.
There's alot of doubt flowing around this team now. The J-E-T-S- control their own destiny. Deliver us from evil ol' Lord Favre.
