That stat was astonishing to me... way too many opportunities gone through the window.

If we got a couple of those, and didn't have a crazy amount of penalties, we would be talking about our W right now. At least those problems can be fixed...

On that first fumble, Cody Spencer had the ball, all he had to do was fall down on top of it. Instead he tries to pick it up (? hard to tell) and run?

What's more baffling: are we that thin at LB that Cody Spencer has to be on the field as part of our red-zone Defense?

Where the hell did he say that play cost us the game? Are we even trying to read things the right way anymore?

He didnt say that, but it really pisses me off how he laments in public over a player's unforced error.

Jeez, there was only 56 minutes left in the game.

I really dont like his approach about these things, and havent for a long time.

I'm with you, I don't get why people are taking his comment that way.

because we need someone to blame. it can't be a collective effort of suck. one person has to be the cause. mangini is the fall guy for this board. yeah he hasn't been good, but neither has anyone else, players included. its just human nature to try to find one cause of a problem. mangini is the easiest/most obvious cause so anything he says will be blown out of proportion.

for anyone about to attack me, im not trying to defend the guy right now. he has been bad and is a major cause of this collapse we are watching. this comment is not what people are making it out to be though.

My question is if you're at the 38 anyway and you miss on 3rd and 2. Go for it on 4th and make them pay for the onside kick. It would have been the same as getting a couple of first downs and punting. It was a gift possession with nothing to lose. I dont' understand punting there.

I agree with this, I wanted them to go for it.

I wonder if Brett Favre is taking important carries away from Thomas Jones. A couple of weeks ago Mangini made a comment about some good passing production coming following audibles on called run plays. Is the problem with running down to the CS being wary of reining Favre in too tightly by insisting that he run the play as called, no matter what he reads? Are they putting too much trust in him and being undermined?

    Just a thought.
